He missed some games due to a concussion and back injury.

He did miss games in two seperate years due to shoulder injuries. Have no idea if it was the same shoulder. Same injury.

The original comment by whoever said they wouldnt even consider him because of all these injuries. Simply nonsensical.

Well it was a lot of injuries for a part time player!

The Joneses rushed to re-sign him because they were getting a discount. And now the organization regrets it and they’re looking for the door.

They can realize some level of savings next year and I expect them to move on. Trade or release.

You know, they get hosed, and rightfully so, for not signing players early and getting that discount.

But they do. They just are really bad at picking which players to sign.. really bad at picking which horses to back.

With drafting Devin Moore in the 4th rounder.

If Revel can take a giant step forward. And Moore learns a year behind bland/durant (Durant is on a 1 year deal).

Next season could we really have two big corner on the outside.

Revel 6'2 194lbs and Devin Moore 6'3 198lbs.

If Daron Bland doesn't play well this season the cowboys can move him/cut him and save money.

Time will tell. I am rooting for bland.

Bland is a complete wash after receiving the new contract How many times have we had a front row seat to this scenario. I hope the young bucks keep him on the bench. Just played awful this past season.

CB’s are not great, but not horrible either. A step above last year. And some better depth. And with a better scheme. A better front 7. Along with what seems will be a very strong set of Safeties. They can be good enough.

-The upgrades at safety make the cbs a better group and we hopefully see far less breakdowns.

-If Bland is healthy I still believe he can be a #1 corner. Injuries and awful schemes derailed him. He had a couple bad games, but there were far worse players in the secondary.

-For Revel we don't know what we have quite yet. He didnt play last year with a lot of confidence, but he came into it late so was almost a red shirt year. With a full offseason of development he along with the young edges will be critical to defensive improvement. Certainly has talent and hope coaches can help him make a jump.

-Durant was a very solid signing and provides good insurance if Revel isn't ready to take on a bigger role.

-There should be a lot of competition for 4th and 5th corner which is great for this group. Carson, Moore, Stewart, Butler, and the rest should be fun to watch.

There's a lot that hinges on the development of some young guys and coaching but they have potential to be much better.

IMO, Bland is much better in the slot. If we can get at least solid play from outside corners, Bland could flourish in the slot with a MAJOR enforcer like Downs.

I mean, I still have it at the same level of question as last year, just this time Diggs is gone and Revel should be healthy for camp.

I think with Diggs being gone our CB room is better by subtraction. Diggs was a cancer and distraction but he gave hope he might play well.

Personally I’d rather slug it out with Revel and Moore on the outside and move Bland to slot with Caleb helping either Bland or Moore. I’d rather take my lumps with a raw rookie like Moore than take my lumps with a very expensive distraction like Diggs. JMO, but whether Moore plays sooner or later the Diggs problem is gone and that makes our secondary better.
