Can we discuss please? Anyone have a differing view than the commentators on that one?

Dez has separation on the CB with a deep S sitting in a two deep zone. Dez's route was run poorly and if executed properly he would have crossed in front of the deep safety and no INT happens. IMO. Those are big league throws and Dez sucks at his routes too often. This is now a big problem without a doubt. And it is concerning this far into his career.

Rounded off the route which let the Safety cross in front, needed to be squared off sharply........its geometry

Romo should have never thrown the pass. That's one reason he has thrown some many ints this year. The receiver is bracketed. DB looks like his playing a trail and has safety help over the top, Romo never looked off the safety. It wasn't a good rout, but the pass shouldn't have been thrown.

I bet you do.....

I do like Dez, you are correct so take it for what its worth. But Also like very much like Romo and support him, even after today's game. I am allowed to have a differing opinion.

But I don't think this was all on Dez as discussed. We all know that whichever way the commentators choose to talk about it, it sways the fan bases memory of it. I think had he made the sharp in cut he would've gotten leveled so I dont think it wouldve turned out well either way.

Dez did him no favors, but Romo threw into triple coverage and the safety was sitting on the route and would have picked it off either way.

Once again the Romo apologists are back at it....he had ZERO business throwing that ball into triple coverage. The play action had no chance of working because the fake was executed poorly. The safety was in a position to make a play regardless, interception might have been avoided but no chance that play is completed.

Everyone will bring their agendas to this thread......

Thank you. I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who saw it this way.

I support Romo 100%. I just dont think it was all on Dez, and the commentators took all the blame and heaped it on him. Dez, made a horrible decision to try to catch over his shoulder, and then didnt secure the ball. I understand he does dumb things, I dont like it anymore than you do. But I dont think the ball shouldve been thrown on the first INT.

you mean the commentator with Super Bowl rings as a QB?

Other than Dez pulling out a magic wand and making the safety disappear the safety was going to pick the ball off. The Romantics on this board will see no wrong in Romo on the throw but there is no way it every should have been thrown. That and all of the picks were on Romo. And why isn't there a thread on how Romo sucked in the beginning of the game?

Yes, that one. Who is watching from the booth and talkin on the fly.

Yeah, the QB who said there was no way Romo shouldn't have missed seeing the Safety.

Troy Aikman was 100 percent correct. Dez as he has done so many times ran a lazy route was as a result the pass was intercepted. As a quarterback you would expect your receiver to be able to run the right routes consistently. However that just doesn't happen with Dez. He's just not a very smart football player. Frustrating to say the least.

Dez got bumped and quit on his route, you guys act like QB's never throw a pass till a receiver is wide open.

The safety jumped the route. Whether or not dez's route was crisp, something bad was going to happen. This is exactly what I mean by the commentators shaping people's ideas.
