When it comes to quarterbacks, I like me some underdogs, especially when we're talking about backups.

Cooper Rush was an underdog who manages to overcome the odds of being non-athletic and having a sub par arm.

I honestly see a higher potential in Grier as far as athleticism than Rush, and probably more pragmatic traits as a QB2 than Milton.

What I saw from Milton yesterday didn't give me much hope he can step in and be the guy unless they put a leash on him and he learns how to manage the game as a proverbial bus driver, which isn't a bad thing at all, especially when we're talking back ups.

My question is, who is QB2 on this team? And does Dallas keep 2 or 3 QBs?

Why?

Greer has been in the league a long time and was a decent prospect coming out of college. Sometimes guys barely hang on but eventually accumulate a lot of knowledge about what it takes to be an NFL QB and through repetition they become really comfortable. Not saying Greer is one of those guys but he might be. Didn't look bad last night.

As far as whether they keep 3 QBs I think they will at least for a while. Don't see them risking Milton getting poached though so if anything Greer probably goes to the PS. They probably don't even want Greer getting a whole lot of preseason action in case he looks good enough to get poached himself should they try to get him on the PS.

Let's talk about Will Greir: = Nobody was even thinking about him, we see Milton look bad in a game, Grier comes in and now the focus is on the guy that played better! Yikes, I just summed things up in a few seconds!

Will Grier has a history of playing pretty well in the preseason, but continues to struggle to make 53 man rosters. For that reason alone I'm hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. I'm hoping we see a 180 out of Milton these next couple games, or the backup QB position is going to be a massive concern for me.

It certainly happens sometimes, but its very rare that a QB finally puts it all together after hitting 30 years old.

Yeah, I have trouble remembering those guys' names but it does happen. Or... Has happened, rather.

If keep Milton and Grier will be around if Dak goes down

Purely based on the first preseason game, Grier should be our QB2. Keep Milton to develop.

I'm not sure they'll set it up that way if they want to take up an extra spot the question is does it matter who your quarterback 2 is You pick the guy that won't be stolen off the practice squad maybe Milton because of the draft pick you just gave up for him stays QB2 and Greer comes in as off the practice squad as the emergency 3rd Prescott gets hurt and can't finish a game milton comes in to finish that game but then of next week Greer becomes your starter and Milton becomes your backup and you bring in another emergency quarterback if Press got out a few more games...

They'll have to figure out what scenario they want to do that Keep three on the roster at all times or you just put Greir on the practice squad because he probably not going to get pulled off...

I definitely trust grier More than Milton for #2 at this point.

Doesn't work that way. Your emergency 3rd QB still has to be on the 53 man roster.

I hope Buffalo lets Mike White go.

1. dak
2. mike white
3. milton.
If Milton continues to struggle I think they have to explore outside options. I mean Grier is getting hyped after 3 attempts and 2 rushes for a combined 26 yards. We have to tap the brakes on handing him QB2

Will Grier is a former 3rd round pick in 2019 and is now 30 years old. He's been on several teams and has done nothing of note.
