I thought Jerry said they were going to make a change the next season the week before the Commanders game?

The skins are a wounded, cornered animal. They know they can't go 2-6 and have anything left to salvage this season. They'll be at home, this is a rivalry game, I expect them to bring the heat.
However, without Moss, there isn't much to fear from them because they have no teeth.
I don't care if they can't field 11 players on the field due to injuries, I still want to hang 40 on them and I won't feel bad about it. Romo progresses on his last performance and it may happen.

i have absolutely no fear of the Skins this week, and i personally don't think any of our players do either. Parcells is probably the only one who is staying awake nights worrying, but that's his job. With another solid week of practice, including better communication with TO, I think we should be hoping they blitz, just as Parcells said early in the year. The draws to Julius, the rollouts, the scrambling first downs that kill a defense - we'll get up on them early and continue to pound them.
Am I predicting another 35-14 blowout? Exactly right... :)

Parcells gave the team Monday and Tuesday off. Tuesday is normally the only off day of the week. They start preparing for the Skins tomorrow. The Skins have had 2 weeks to study us. If Parcells feared the Commanders, no way he gives the team Monday off.

Parcells has said it before that playing a division rival is like playing your brother. You have studied the opponent so much, that there is nothing new to study.

Personally, I believe Moss will not play... Hammy's aren't something that you can play on at "80%"

I think Portis will give it a try, but will be limited by the ankle... you CAN play on a high ankle sprain (see Adrian Peterson last year for OU) but you can't play on it for long. He'd be wise to rest it, but his ego will get the better of him.

I'm confident Brunell will play and start and probably finish the game.

Randle El is hobbled with a heel injury I believe, but I think he'll play through the pain, although he may be limited as well.

Marshall is a key on defense. I believe he'll play.

Rodgers has a broken hand, but will play with a cast on.

All in all, I think we win... somewhere around 30-10. Redsk*n fans will be booing Brunell from the opening introductions, and it will only get worse from there!

By the end of the game, I predict over half the crowd will be Cowboys fans.

I also predict that I drink roughly 15 beers and eat about 10 hotdogs after the game! :D

Without Moss I think Zimmer would bring Roy up in to the box alot more than normal and that will help us control Portis, the one reliable threat the skins have shown this season. Brunell has shown no ability or inclination to throw deep this year.

And the Skins have shown no inclination to establlish a consistent run game, although they have shown the ability, which is completely bizarre.

If they're going to beat us, though - it will be through the air.

I expect to get the skins best effort this week, if they have any hope of turning their season around they know this is a must win. I expect Dallas to be the favor in the game and we best play like it.

You will have to eat more than that if you want a chance at the title:D

Moss without quickness is one dimensional; just speed is not really that big a threat; you have to be able to cut and move; with a sore hammy you cannot do many quick moves. Springs is also hobbled; Portis as well. Does not matter if they are playing- at 80-90% at best they are not going to be that good. Portis also has that glass shoulder. There really is no excuse for us not absolutely burying them.

It doesnt matter who is playing for the Skins they have zero confidence in their Offensive game plan and QB!

Most of their players are playing for contracts... so if the Cowboys get up early... turn the crowd on them they will be planning for the offseason... the best way to have a good offseason is to have a healthy offseason! I bet we will see more Skins leave with Muscle cramps than we can possibly imagine!!!

the Skins will make their annual wholesale changes, and as much as fans like to forget that this is business to these guys... it shows up in the BOX SCORE when a team cluttered with BIG MONEY DEALS is looking at 2-6!!! Rival? who on the Skins would call this a Rival? Jansen maybe? Gibbs, Synder and the fans... the rest are looking to get paid!!!

17-0 at the half and every player will be on the phone w/ an agent drinking some type of playerade thinking "Show me the Bonus"!!!

Cowboys score first followed by a Skins "3 and out" and the Fat Guys in dresses will have something to say!!!

As for Greg Williams... he will not Blitz Romo, if he does he is a fool!!! Romo is waaaay too decisive to Blitz with their skill people on ours! Unlike Bledsoe, Romo will change a play or signal to TO for a "Hot" before the snap, not just call for "Max"...

I hope Greg Williams does Blitz it will be a sign of desperation!!!

How much game film is on Romo anyway??? what? are they going to use the Panthers game plan? I'm sure Andre Carter can be Julious Peppers!!!

the Skins fans will be in bed early Sunday... I'm willing to bet 90% of the Skins fans will miss Colts/Pats Sunday night!!!

NBC will be call it Footbal Night every where in America except D.C. and surrounding Areas! NBC's D.C. affiliate will probally show seasons 1 and 2 of the Wire starting sometime around 3pm!

ESPN Classic and the NFLN scramble to put Commander 2005 Hilghlights on opposite the Colts v. Pats game!!!!

The Washington Post will limit newstand circulation by 60% next Monday!!!

911 and the House of Ruth in the D.C. areas will have full staffs starting around 2pm!

70% of the Crack Houses in D.C. will have guys in Jerseys and/or Dresses askin "how do they get back on to 95?"

COWBOYS ROLL 40 to 10

TO scores 3!!!

You said it.

I hate games where all signs point to us coming away with an "easy" win.

Romo hasn't faced the types of blitzes that Williams will throw his way. Gregg Williams' defenses usually eat first year QBs for breakfast (Romo is essentially a first year QB).

And you're exactly right about throwing the records out the window. I remember the Skins beating us in 1995...twice, IIRC....

Gibbs will pull out all the stops. I think we'll see corner blitzes, flea-flickers, reverses, maybe even a fake FG or punt. We must be prepared to take the crowd out of the game. A good, time-consuming drive down the field to start the game will be perfect.

Unfortunately, we've started slow all season.

We can't afford to have a start like we had against the Texans.

You mean the way they ate up Vince Young? :laugh2:
