Let's Talk Giants

1st matchup we did not have Tnew or TG.
2nd matchup we did not have TG.
3rd matchup Dallas will have everyone and the Giants are missing Shockey and the OL is banged up.

Shockey has been the Cowboys killer so not having them in there will be huge.

I hope TG gives us a spark because the offense has been horrid in December.

Hopefully TO, Gurode, Newman, and Ratliff are 100% healthy and ready to rock n roll.

We need to start running the ball more and I think we need to feed the Barbarian. The combo RB's are meant to keep them fresh if we get into the playoffs. We are in and JuJo has not been a factor except a few screens. Barber is a huge emotional lift to this offense.

The one thing that still scares me about the Cowboys is their defense. When the offense is hot the defense gives up points. When the defense is hot the offense is cold. If the defense steps up and plays like we know they can I honestly believe we can beat anyone. If they continue to give up points and blowing 3rd and long this could be a stressful playoffs.

WE HAVE GOT TO PUT PRESSURE ON ELI!!!!!!!!!

TO's status will be a major factor in this game. Dallas also has a heap of pressure on them after last year's loss and not having won a playoff game in over 10 years. Much happier going to Dallas than a potentially frigid Green Bay.

...but the status of Owens is of the utmost importance. He has KILLED the Giants in those two games...if he is limited at all that is a really big deal.

Throw in the fact that the Giants were able to rest Madison this week (wink, wink) and the secondary is ready to roll.

By the way, with the pick-6 a couple weeks back is Corey Webster suddenly an asset? I'll take him at the nickel or dime in a heartbeat right now...all he is doing is getting it done.

I only hope its true.I think it is kind of fitting we are playing them and to be honest I like our matchup.Even with Owens in there is no way he's 100% Glenn showed he is know where near game shape. And 1 yard rushing last week in DC.

I like the way this has workrd out for us. We have the momentum and with a little luck we should be pretty healthy going into this game.

And I believe the revenge factor has to play a big part here too.

Burress is the only player on that offense that scares me.

I liked their RB today #44 or whatever. He's quick. One thing I noticed about him, he's not very good at avoiding hits. The guy takes a hard shot alot instead of trying to avoid it..fumbles maybe?

Their OL is pretty banged up. The Bucs D might have statistically been ranked #2 in pass D, but I dunno if they are really THAT good. Eli had good time back there, and surprisingly made really good decisions on a consistant basis.

I think the Giants have a mediocre secondary and LB's. Their front 4 is real good at getting pressure. When you play against a team that has 1 weapon on offense (Galloway), and that weapon is banged up, it's easy to line up and play man coverage on the outside all day. I doubt they can get away with that so easily.

The Giants are playing well. But let's not put too much on the TB game -- TB is a mediocre team. Any one of the NFC East teams -- Eagles included -- would have won that division easily.

That said, the Giants are dangerous. TB did some good stuff against them today but failed to stop Eli. I know most folks don't want to hear this but we cannot simply go out there and dare the Giants to throw. The Giants did that and Eli was patient and took the short stuff over and over.

The Giants really timed their blitzes well today. No doubt the Giants will watch film of the Eagle's game and come after Romo.

On defense, we have to stop playing soft coverage and rushing four guys. Teams will dink and dunk down the field on us. Eli proved he could do that.

I wouldn't put anything on that Tampa Bay game. I mean what other team knows the Giants better than the Boys? What exactly is new about this Giants team than the one we played this season? Eli grew up in that game he had a meltdown in? The key for the Giants is simple, put pressure on Eli -- make him b.ware of d.ware.

Look the first game the Giants said that wasn't their defense on the field. The second time, they said that they were a different team and got it handed to them at home. So they played a good game against NE, but previous to that, they lost the Skins. What team didn't play the Patriot hard the last 4 games of the season.

As for today, really TB was so one dimensional, it was sad. That offense was horrible. They were running it down their throats early and then went away from it. Joey Galloway was hurt and their offensive line was not that good.

How many sacks did we give up to the Giants in the first two meetings. Not many. We will protect against their D line. Please try and blitz with that putrid secondary, we will eat you alive. You don't have the secondary of the Eagles.

Now we just need Pierce to run his stupid mouth to get things going. Only a matter of time.....
