Yeah, I don't really think the Bengals are hitting on all cylinders.
They are vulnerable

I'm oversimplifying it, but this game sets up to easily allow multiple narratives to live.

Lose to Cincy? Well, duh. Dak and Co. hadn't faced anyone good yet, we lost our first real test, we're pretenders headed toward a three-game losing streak, etc.

Beat Cincy? Congrats -- you just defeated a 2-3 football team. Dallas still hasn't beaten a team with a winning record, etc etc.

The truth is Cincy has the best pedigree of any team we have faced, having been a perpetual playoff team under Lewis and Dalton. A.J. Green will be a nightmare to defend and has the ability to embarrass us. Their defense is also traditionally very good, even if they've taken a step backward this season. At the same time, this isn't the same Cincy offense. They're without three of their top pass catchers from a year ago, having lost Eiffert to injury and Jones/Sanu to free agency.

From a Bengals board:

"Just don't assume we go to 3-2 at Dallas and all Bengals have to do is throw their jock straps on the field. This is not the Dallas that has been struggling the last few years. The Dallas Cowboys Are Back. ......Bengals will have to be on their game to get a win in Dallas......Anybody just thinking this is a win on the schedule is dead wrong. ....They can run Elliiot and Morris right up a teams rear end, plus they have passing. They have a lot of pass catchers and our DBs have been struggling......I WANT BENGALS TO WIN......but anybody thinking at Dallas is an automatic win for Bengals is crazy.....Bengals better get it together and play their best game so far this year to win this one."

Dalton is much better than Eli* and the Bengals are a better team than the Giants. This will be quite a test, and I could see our D giving up 30.

Eli hasn't been so good in the last 2-3 years. He's getting older. Dalton chokes in the playoffs but is pretty good otherwise. Are we forgetting he had one of the best years of any quarterback last season - 106.3 qb rating?

Giants have better top 3 wr's. Looks like Dalton spreads the ball around better though in terms of catches. As for Bengals running game, they are averaging 3.1 yds per carry. So I'm guessing they will be passing a lot.

Eli is downright inaccurate at times and makes some looney decisions. I worry about that red head from Katy Texas.

They also have Marvin Lewis; perhaps the greatest regular season coach the league has ever seen. Wish to hell this was a playoff game; it would be in the bag

The Bengals are good. I don't feel a need to tear them down. Beating them would be a nice accomplishment and keep the momentum going.
Dalton has 3 TDs and 2 INTs in 4 games to go with 13 sacks.....they have given up 10 Passing TDs

I want to keep that going

Green is like Dez or Demarrius Thomas. I don't put those guys in the truly elite category. Just a half tick under.

That's reserved for guys like Brown, Hopkins, Julio, Nelson, Gronk, and if he ever gets a legit QB, perhaps Landry.

Nelson is elite?

I know everyone is afraid of the Bengals and since we are at home, yeah we might very well lose, but this is the team that was punked by the Steelers who were punked by the Eagles
