Lewis is a FS?

There were a few threads discussing this before. Not one safety was taken. With the 2 nice LB pics, my guess in Neal will be a SS, but right now our only FS is a guy coming off an injury and Darian Thompson. Hmmm.
If you remember, Lewis and Kazee are physically almost the same, Lewis also seemed to get a very large contract for a guy that came off of a bad year and is probably only competing to be the slot CB.
I don't want a flame war, it just seems to make sense.

I took Lewis' contract as a safety in training. That's why Kazee is a one year rental. That's gives Lewis time to adjust. Brown is and will be our slot DB.

we drafted two dbs that can easily be a FS..also kearse on the fa list we brought in..so lots of options in the offseason to let them work it out in TC and PS games

SS is set Wilson and neal can cover the box but yes FS is needed and lots pf competition to shake once out of all the excess corners we have

Yeah, I expect that also. But as the season goes on Joseph will push Brown back to the slot. And Brown will push Lewis elsewhere. With Lewis' contract that may be his place, at FS.

that will be good we need Joseph to push brown odd corner cause brown is only marginally better than awuzi IMO and they both are average or below

I don’t mind lewis in slot bur he’s grabby as hell and gets caught

It is more like Neal will play more safety instead of LBer.

We don’t need a FS. 3 giant CBs = 4 regular CBs, so it’s like having a FS out there without even playing one.

He fits the profile Quinn likes for converts. Aggressive slot/nickel guy with ball skills but marginal athleticism. Fits to a T. He’s also a great tackler for his size.

Who knows maybe now that the drafts over we’ll check back in to see how Hooker’s rehab is going.

The starters seem set with Kazee and Wilson

There was at least one CB drafted that will be moved to S. Maybe 2. You have look further into it than just the position listed at draft time.
