Lewis Neal come on down

With Price about to be placed on IR, it seems as if its Lewis Neal time. Showed a lot of quickness during the pre-season. Might not be the space eater we need, but he knows the system and he is available as they say.

As soon as I saw Price leave the field I that of Lewis...but like you said, they'll likely be looking for a big body who can hold the point of attack. I'm not sure if that's Lewis' game, but here's hoping, cause we know he can get after the quarterback...or, at least, we think we know...everything he has done thus far has been against lesser competition, so we will see...

They would prefer a bigger body but the choices are very limited now that the trade deadline has passed.

There are 320 total practice squad players. I would definitely look at other practice squads before just auromatically bumping Neal up to the 53.

It would be cool if all of the 320 PS players were listed together somewhere. I'm often curious to know what's available but I don't want to pull up all 32 rosters.

Pickings are slim...

Rams have a DT on their PS, Omarius Bryant. 6'3 315lbs. Rams are loaded at DT w/ Donald & Brockers starting and being a 3-4, their chief depth is at LB.

Former Raiders DT Dan Williams is out there: 6'2 330lbs. He is that big body but not sure what kind of shape he's in. Would be worth a look at the least

I would sign another team's PS player whenever possible. In a pool of 320 players that almost made a roster, there must be a few good ones and you can't sign them to your own PS.

Not exactly encouraging..Joy Mbu excite anyone lol? I’m a pretty big draft junky and I’ve only heard of Mbu and 1 o 2 other DT’s.
But I do agree that Neal doesn’t exactly make the most sense, he’s not at all the same position as Price.

Collins/Ash at the 1. Ash is okay.

Neal would actually probably do decently at the 3, that's more his game.

I think I would take a look at Pittsburgh's practice squad. They are deep at DT and might just have someone stashed away that could step right in and help.
