Do we really need another big body? We've got Collins, who has been starting at NT, and Ash. How many NTs do we need?

Of course, we brought up Ash after we lost Paea, but I'm not sure if that wasn't because we didn't know how much we'd use Collins there.

yes they need another tackle. Crawford is playing great at end at the moment and if they dont find another dt who can actually contribute he will have to play tackle. I don't think that is best for him and I dont think they want to do that. He gets to beat up in there.

The Cowboys are bound to be scouring other teams' practice squads for a replacement for Price. If they're unable to find one, they might opt for Richard Ash, although it would seem they wouldn't be searching elsewhere if they thought he was the answer. We'll soon see what they come up with, if anything. I'm betting Will McClay is pretty busy checking out other teams' rosters right about now.

Deon Simon at 6-4 332 is on the Jets PS and should be a good run plugger. Plenty strong...did 35 reps at the 2015 combine.
I don't see any injuries sustained since he was drafted. Can't be any worse than Price...right?

Not exactly encouraging..Joy Mbu excite anyone lol? I’m a pretty big draft junky and I’ve only heard of Mbu and 1 o 2 other DT’s.
But I do agree that Neal doesn’t exactly make the most sense, he’s not at all the same position as Price.

Not sure how up to date this site is but thanks for sharing. If Cowboys wanted a mountain in the middle with athleticism for his size, then Josh Tupou is the guy. 6'3 350 with similar movement skills to Vellano. Or T.Y. McGill who is short (6'0) but powerful with a quick get off for a 300 pounder, a Marinelli type of NT.

Would not stop there. Keep adding speed to D, like Tyrone Holmes at DE (6'4 255 4.5) and LB/SS Nate Gerry (think Heath but destroys people in run game or Frazier in ST but with hands for INT). CHURN that roster bottom.

With Price about to be placed on IR, it seems as if its Lewis Neal time. Showed a lot of quickness during the pre-season. Might not be the space eater we need, but he knows the system and he is available as they say.

I think he'd bring a great addition to this line...not sure how stout he is at clogging the middle but he's active and disruptive. Would love to see it!

As soon as I saw Price leave the field I that of Lewis...but like you said, they'll likely be looking for a big body who can hold the point of attack. I'm not sure if that's Lewis' game, but here's hoping, cause we know he can get after the quarterback...or, at least, we think we know...everything he has done thus far has been against lesser competition, so we will see...

Omarius Bryant is interesting.

I would sign another team's PS player whenever possible. In a pool of 320 players that almost made a roster, there must be a few good ones and you can't sign them to your own PS.

Correct me if I am wrong, if you sign someone off another team's PS don't you have to put him on your active roster?

Correct me if I am wrong, if you sign someone off another team's PS don't you have to put him on your active roster?

They have to sign him to the 53 man roster but I don't think he has to be one of the 46 actives on game day.

Agreed. I meant for the team to opt to play him, if they so desire. It seems they're not totally sold on him. (They're scouring other teams' rosters as well as looking at their own.)

Maybe because he knows the defense as he has been with the team since July. That said, he is really light for a run stuffer.
