I think it's the 2-3 yard runs that should be losses or no gainers....we'll miss more than anything.
If it's blocked well, Morris has the instincts and vision to keep everything on schedule, and even pop the occasional big run.

Unless Zack Martin is lying, here is what to expect:

"We're going to run the exact same plays. Everyone is going to know what we're running and it's just whether or not we can execute for these guys to make plays.".

Even Rod Smith backs it up. "We're going to go out and do what we do. We're going to do the same thing we did last week, just a different number."

I hope this whole witch hunt for Zeke is worth it to Goodell when he (hopefully) doesn't get an extension after all of this. It's almost as if he cares so much more about prosecuting his own players and pissing everyone off than he does about his own job security.
Yes why bite the hand that feeds you? There must be some very influential special interest groups who must have Goodell by the walnuts because this is killing the NFL and just wait until the new players agreement comes up for renewal. I hope the players union is loading their guns because it's going to be strike city.

Theres going to be a ton of pressure on Dak. I appreciate how well he has played, but if our running game and defense falter Dak will struggle.

One thing his critics seem to ignore is that Dak is only a second year QB who was considered nowhere near ready when we drafted him. I hate the way some Cowboy "fans" act as if hes a finished product. What will make this guy great is work ethic and seasoning. Right now I am deeply concerned that without Zeke too much will be put on his plate. I know DMC was really good two years ago but I cant ignore that was with the threat of Romo passing the ball.

All said I still think our offense does well, but the margin for error has shrunk considerably. It will be interesting to see how much Alf and DMC have left. I expect our offense to be good but not great. If we are going to make the playoffs our Defense will have to continue to improve and Dak will have to excel in a role he isnt yet comfortable being in.

Square peg meet round hole. With Alf in the huddle I see a lot of 2nd and 9's, 3rd and 7's. We're going to need to convert on 3rd downs so 1st down success will be big. I see us passing much more frequently on first down and I'll take heat for this but Witten better start creating separation beyond the sticks because Dak is going to be passing a lot more. I just haven't seen Witten getting open as much.

Witten is doing what he has always done. Just slower. He is still running those routes short of the sticks. They need to consider his limitations, but they won't.

They will "do what they do". That means having him split into the slot in empty sets. A lot.

Totally agree. Witten needs to be on a pitch count but that is a problem far down the list of many others on this team.

Both RunDMC and Rod Smith are good at catching passes. I would use them on short passes to make up for the Zeke's run production.

Maybe he just believes suspending Zeke is the right thing to do and thus is doing his job. Your slant portrays Roger the Clown as a suicidal psychopath and I just don't think that is the case.
How can it possibly be the right thing to do under the circumstances? It is clearly a railroading. No doubt about it at this point.

Not surprising. This has been Garrett's offensive philosophy from day one regardless whether he was the offensive coordinator or the responsibility has been held by one of his successors. The offensive scheme places high emphasis on practiced execution and rarely deviates from it week to week during each game.

It is a good strategy that is highly dependent on players completing their assignments while maintaining a tiny margin of error. Individual miscues (e.g. stupid penalties, dropped passes, etc.) are the scheme's kryptonite because profound adjustments on the fly in reaction to whatever the opponent's defense shows is not encouraged in my opinion. It is purely 'We will line up and beat you with what we primarily practice or we will help beat ourselves with inflexibility'.

We have a distraught ex-gf that says otherwise. Roger the Clown wants to be perceived as sympathetic to her plight.

Thanks Joe I just spit my coffee out all over my screen
Sorry dude. I don't believe she is distraught either but we can't approach this as we would. We have to get in the mind of the Clown named Roger and think as he may be thinking.

Maybe this will force the coaching staff to get more creative. IMO they did a much better job of play calling when Dez was out last season, maybe this can be a similar spark.

Is that still her chosen profession? I don't keep up with her. Considering she could possible have a day in court to testify against Elliott, I would think she would be trying to get her life together.

If the Cowboys stick to their game plan of run first and give Morris and DMC the carries Zeke would normally get, I think folks are going to be surprised how well the Cowboys offense is. Now if Dak starts throwing the ball 50 times a game, that's a completely different story.

Yep
