We're still numerically in the hunt... and not too far from being in contention.

That's all for now.

Agreed, we are still in this thing. :lmao2:

I've decided I won't even entertain the idea of being in the playoffs until we win our next 2 games.

If we beat Cincy and Pitt then we have a real chance. Problem is we most likely wont beat Pittsburgh. We'll play a sloppy mess of a game and barely lose.

Terribly sloppy for the entire first half.

Then we let the comeback kid loose in the 2nd half.

This is what we've been seeing, cept we don't always come back.

Terrible Game plan. That's on the head coach, but there's a bit of a chance.

That makes me laugh.

I agree - the offense seems to be getting better and we have won a few games lately.

I think part of the problem is that the board doesn't understand that some of our wins are of decent quality and even some of our losses have been of decent quality. We lost by inches in the last seconds of the game to the Giants and Ravens who are both very good teams. Cleveland and Tampa Bay are better than the credit the board gives them. Washington has been hot lately and are running their offense with a QB type that the league has not yet seen and haven't entirely figured out how to deal with him yet - remember how hot Vick was back in 2010? Remember how much trouble Cam Newton gave everyone last year? The league will start to get a better feel of how to deal with RG3 and his weaknesses and will adapt.

Our biggest problem right now seems to be weakness up the middle against the run and against the pass. Our best hope is if Peprah can get healthy and help out in the secondary as McCray is one of the worst pass defenders I have seen play the position and Connor is pretty bad at ILB.

I wonder if we'd do better playing nickel more with Sims and Wilber out there at ILB in the 4-2-5 alignment. I don't know there is much hope until next season comes. Losing both Carter and Lee has put us in a bind. I as hoping that maybe Lemon could help out a bit more but maybe he isn't good enough to contribute.

this team will tease us until the last game where it will fold. Just like last year

Yes, and really, some of our wins have been rather sloppy. I don't know what to think about this team. It has the means to get there; it just hasn't gotten there.

Perhaps. I like beating the division better, but if we have to come from behind it's that much sweeter. I think Coach Dufas should study some game tape and take an introspective look at his planning, according to this year's trends. If the Ivy League nit wit can do that, we may be able to salvage this season. But we have to put our team in the best position. I just don't yet have confidence that Ronald McDonald can pull it off.

...and HOW MANY TIMES have we been "numerically in the hunt" just to go full-****** in December?

That's why I can't lighten up. I feel like we'll lose out from this point on.

You can't help but feel this way. It is rather defeating from a fan's point. All of these ifs, but looking back we had a few chances we blew. So if we can avoid that and maybe heed to and prepare for the trends that have happened this year, we may go in with a different attitude about the first half. We have to show up for it. Garrett has to fix this. If he doesn't show that his team is the better team, this guy should be out of here.

Tony has 19 more pass attempts in the 2nd half than in the 1st half on the season, so spare us the continued attemps to say we don't let him throw it enough until the second half and then we let him loose.

I do think we have some guys on this board like that.

Course we have alot more that are the exact opposite, and the girl could ask them to marry her and he would still think she's not interested.

I was talking about him commanding the hurry up, not passes per se. I meant when he is in charge of the offense and Garrett Top's role is limited.

Actually I think Romo said it best in the interview the other day. They have to see what the defense is doing in the first half then they can better attack it in the second half. The problem is that the coach has to know what they are going to do and have the team prepared for it, but sadly, he doesn't. We are a very ill prepared team on game day and that is on the HC.
