I like McCarthy but say he flames out this season, would y’all want to go after Lincoln Riley?

He’ll need a GREAT DC to pair with and allow that DC to pick/sign the talent THEY want…his college track record shows he does NOT tend to end up with great defensive talent.

Well between him and Caleb they will probably own 50% of a franchise as part of signing with anybody

no how about he comes here at the next OC if MM is canned and DQ is the HC, problem solved. lets these guys EARN a JC spot. Come in be the OC get cred then move up.. So Many college coaches fail here in the NFL.

The guy is Kellen Moore 2.0. I just don't get it I guess, all the weird fascination with him. Hes nuthin special as a HC.
has like 99 players to choose from plus the transfer portal now to pick and choose great players too fit system and are the BMOC..not in the NFL hard salary cap more people to answer from and roster limits at 53..plus big egos with huge $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ bags..

Riley +Williams will be good for some club who finishes with 3 or less wins.
But they better hire and stack a defense because that system asks a lot of its defense with quick turn arounds and high tempo forcing more snaps.

It isn't going to be Dallas.
If Dallas wanted that offense they'd go get Kliff Kingsbury to call plays and Jerry might if the season goes down in flames due to offense.
A Dan Quinn defense with KK at OC might work.
He'd definitely have some tips for Dak after his time with Belichick and Brady.

Smart man. USC is a sinking ship without the pac 10 to dominate. What a great package for some lucky team.
Jesus Dude, The PAC has been the PAC-12 since 2011 and USC has one conference championship in that stretch (2017).

They currently have 4 other PAC schools in front of them in the standings. They only thing they dominate are headlines thanks to the LA market.

Lincoln Riley is so gutless. He leaves Oklahoma because they are joining the SEC, and he didn't want any part of having to compete in that gauntlet, so he goes to USC, thinking that the PAC-12 was soft enough that he could be a playoff team every year without a lot of effort. Now, USC is joining the B1g 10, and he wants out.

Pathetic.

Apparently he is trying to go as a package with Caleb Williams and is willing to walk away from the 11 million a year USC is currently paying. So he will be expensive wherever he goes. I do think he has a good offensive mind though i think he abandons the run too quickly. I dont see him as an option in Dallas because of the price tag and the attention he would take away from the ego maniac owner.

Lincoln Riley is good as an Offensive Mind.

As a HC, he's overrated.
USC won 9 games TOTAL in the 2 years prior to Riley.
He has went 17-4 thus far into mid year-2.
USC went from 10th in the Pac 12 in recruiting for 2022 to top 10 in 2023.
Only truly insane expectations have been suggesting he is pretty mid as a coach.
In 6 years as a Head Coach his worst AP finish is 12th. And he took a team coming off 4 wins to 12th.

Riley will/would be a fine head coach in the Big 10 but I doubt he has any interest in all that cold weather travel.
He is a Texas kid.

WAG but I think he'd love the LAC or ARI jobs and also be willing to move to pair with Caleb somewhere like Carolina. (He spent 4 years at East Carolina)

He makes too much money to be just the OC. He has to be head coach.
