Linebackers coach

Who is available that would be a good linebackers coach?

I don't know who he had at GB.

Is Mike Singletary available?

Thoughts?

I'm sure he will look to coaches that he knows and who Nolan wants on his staff.

Either nobody wants Mike Singletary anymore or doesn't care to coach in the NFL anymore.
Let's get somebody whose been still active in the league and more clued into playing against new space wave of offenses nowadays.

Singletary is not a good position coach. Never was.

He is a great leader but the kind of leader who guys will eventually tune out because he's so incredibly intense.

Another former HC and good defensive mind

Ah, I see. I'm undecided. I tried to look up the linebackers that he's coached and wasn't able to find anyone of note. (Admittedly it was a quick glance).

Question to the masses, anyone know of any linebackers Haslett has coached?

Big Mc had Kevin Green as outside linebackers coach until 2105 when Scott McCurley became the Assistant Linebackers coach.
LaFleur installed Mike Smith as Inside linebackers coach and Kirk Olivadotti inherited the Outside linebackers coach position.

Jim Haslett was one of the coaches he spent time with at The Barn breaking down film.
Scott McCurley was the other and was on his staff in GB...so I just figured he'd bring both along...Haslett with LBs and McCurley as quality control.

I wonder if McCarthy would want Winston Moss (currently head coach of XFL team in LA) to coach linebackers. Maybe Mike Nolan has someone in mind, Leigh Torrance or Michael Hodges from the Saints.

A guy that I really like is Ricky Brown, currently try the LB and ST coach at Boston College, assuming new HC Jeff Hafley keeps him.

Yeah, unless Haslett has other offers or bigger aspirations, it would seem like he'd have a place somewhere on McCarthy's staff.

McCarthy fired McCurley after 2017 season.
he was on McCarthy's original staff and was let go in '019 when LeFleur came on according to what I read.

I do know he was one of the coaches that was with McCarthy this past year at the Barn...breaking down film.

He was fired after the 2017 season, by McCarthy. He may have been ordered to fire some assistants though, which happens frequently when teams decide to keep the existing HC after a bad season (7-9) but demand some changes.
