The dude has been calling great, and I mean GREAT games this season. Nice hire Jason.

Also....did you see him get fired up after the non-PI call? I've never even seen the man with a smile on his face.......

Could a mod please fix the title.....Linehan Love NOT Linehan's Love......thanks. HATE spell check!!

I really, really do not want to see him go at the end of the season.

Me either. I don't think you can say enough good things about him, Mike Pope or Gary brown.

It appears at the end of the season we will lose Linehan, Pope, Leary, Romo, Williams and butler.

for a team that wants to dedicate itself to defense there is a lot there to replace.

Yeah, if he must go, I'd like to have him with Dak for at least one more season, Percy. Jerry needs to give him a blank check for at least the next two years, if possible.. He is a quarterback whisperer (minus the filth we trotted out last crap season) :)

When is his contract up?

I read somewhere he's got a hell'va sense of humor also!
HE Must have refined that while he was a tunnel rat in Nam.

( Maybe I'm thinking of the DEFENSE shot caller,,,, Nevermind.)

I agree
This is our 3-5 year window right here
Jerry needs to open up his check book and make sure these guys dont move

Pope I think already said this is his final season. Linehan will be in demand.

If I were another team struggling I would look to hire Linehan as my head coach, Sign Tony Romo and you could even get in on leary and williams.

I pointed this out the other day on twitter and said if I was the rams I would hire Scott Linehan, sign Romo and leary. Then I realized after it was pointed out to me that he was already there and fired! Lol. Still new owners and different city but it would never happen.

Arizona could make that move though not that they would get rid of arians. Anyway, I like linehan and think highly of him. the guy is an offensive encyclopedia, he taught urban meyer the spread offense and has had success everywhere. I feel the same way about mike pope.

Linehan's contract is up after next season but the problem would be if another team thinks he's HC worthy this upcoming off season if he's interviewed for the same position as OC for another then I think he stays until his contract is up.

It may be tough for him to find another job given his struggles with the Rams and the perception of how good the Dallas O-Line is.

Also the jobs likely open next year are not overly appealing.

Jerry has finally realized the need of a legitimate play caller on offense. I personally think coordinators are more important than the HC.

I see what you're saying YR as it relates to his struggles as the Rams HC. The one job that might be appealing to him even though I don't think he will even be a consideration for it is the Green Bay job because I think McCarthy is a goner after this season but other than that you're right the other possible HC openings won't be as attractive.

I see your logic, but you need both. Kinda like the chicken and the egg debate.

Completely different offensive scheme in Green Bay outside of the zone blocking.

I don't think McCarthey is fired anyway.
