Linehan's thought process must go something like this:

They are thinking that I am thinking x so I would do Y, but they may be on to that way of thinking, so I'll run a really stupid play that has very little chance of succeeding, because that's the last thing they will be expecting.

And that is starting with the first play of the game

Zeke has more touches than anybody in football.

He will need to get more creative than that

We need to use Zeke as a decoy for the entire game. That's the last thing they will be expecting.

How about getting more creative with the touches? Instead of the predictable ones? Rams use the whole field with Gurley- in multiple formations, positions and angles. That would be a fresh change.

Someone else should call plays them moment they get to the opposing teams' 30 yard line. Whatever Linnehan is thinking at the time, the team should do the opposite of it...he sucks.

I do think he thinks too much.

Linehan thinking is, damn my oline struggles, damn I'm limited as to what I can call, can we fix Frederick. That's what he's thinking

Garrett was all clever like this well before he showed up. The two of them think exactly the same way.

When I imagine what Linehan is thinking it goes something like the "inconceivable" scene in the Princess Bride and unfortunately, we aren't the dread pirate Robert's.

Linehan can barely tie his shoes and you want him to be more creative on offense?

That about sums it up. He's always trying to outsmart an opponent and ends up outsmarting himself.

This is exactly my thought about our offensive game plans - throw out everything that worked last week because it's on tape. Now do some really whacky overly complicated plays to throw the defense off and we should be OK. He must have a special rule in his playbook about only allowing Dak to run the football every 3 games to keep him fresh.
