ref gave barca 2 pks. what a bunch of bs. cant wait for Madrid to eliminate their butt from champions league.

You're kidding, right? The ref had no choice in giving those PKs. On the first one the defender never touched the ball and only hit Messi's legs. You can't ignore that especially the ref was about 5ft away. The second one was also obvious. The defender can't have a fist full of jersey. Those were simple calls in which the ref had to call fouls and since the fouls were in the box they had to be PKs. Also, look at the reaction of the defender on the first PK. He knew right away what he did and a PK was coming. It was that obvious.

Madrid is going to have their hands full with Bayern in the semi-finals. Hopefully they along with Barca win in the semis because I would like to see a Barca-Madrid final. Based on recent history Madrid is not likely to eliminate Barca. Barcelona has owned Madrid over the last couple of years.

Sadly.. Agreed.

Milan made silly silly mistakes.

Antonini sliding Messi in the box? What was he thinking?

Nesta dragging a guy down on a corner?

Milan could've easily beat Barca if they could've cashed in on goals in the 1st match and not been so stupid in the 2nd.

Not sure what you mean.

I was replying to daschoo.

The bit about not counting was relating to knowing who Phil Taylor is (being English makes it somewhat easier :) )

The other was reference to Celtic losing the League Cup Final

Yesterday takes away any dissapointment over the last few weeks. I do feel a bit rough mind you but well worth it.

skip the first 15 seconds and this is incredible

I'm convinced that if an NFL team wants a real "home field advantage" the fans need to come up with a unified chant like the futbol fans have. Could you imagine 80,000 fans or more in our stadium chanting in unison while the defense is on the field?

That would be sick and would make the game so much better.

People would probably yell more if they didn't feel like such a noobie yelling out OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH

Leading those chants used to be the job of cheerleaders... now all they do is look sexy and dance at halftime.

I'm not convinced it would work in American Football to be honest. Firstly you would have to change the culture of the game going support, secondly the stop start nature of the sport would make it more difficult to build an atmosphere. Thirdly and I think the biggest issue would be the need to be quiet on offence and noisy on defence. In a football match the atmosphere tends to run in peaks and troughs and builds naturally over the 45 minutes. The change from offence to defence would in my opinion kill this momentum.
In saying that anything would be an improvement on "lets go {insert team name}, lets go"

Oh well, that didn't work out then.

Celtic lost against the Evil Empire & we blew another Wembley final :(

A better weekend this weekend then. 18 year old kid scores twice within 7 minutes of coming on for his debut for us. Congratulations on promotion for you!

Yep, we eventually secured promotion, and now have a chance next Saturday to tie up the Championship with a home win.

I did see Watt's goals on the news, very nicely taken they were too.
Any chance that we can have him on loan next season, I'm sure he would fit in well with Ferry & Caddis :)
