Thank God.

I just don't want to shut off that Anthony Hitchens, Devin Street, Ben Gardner, Will Smith, Ahmad Dixon, Ken Bishop, Terrance Mitchell, Damien Wilson, Ryan Russell, Mark Nzeocha, Laurence Gibson, Geoff Swaim pipeline.

None of the guys you mention are 1st/2nd round picks. He found Selvie so give the guy a break.

This guy was a contributor to one of the two most embarrassing losses in Cowboy history. Hearing his name makes me grit my teeth.

It would be nice if for once, the team came out and noted who is responsible for what and it might help make some sense of things.

But I guess ambiguity has its advantages.

Don't get so hung up on titles, Alex. They are meaningless.

Like the owner of the team. The person with that title doesn't matter.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Good memory. Totally forgot he was a Commanders scab player.

So I guess this helps GM Jerry not have to spend those long nights in the film room.

Seems like a less than stellar set up for a guy who was getting legit GM looks. He works under both GM Jerry & sidekick son plus Will McCay.

Does it matter, just another name for fans to ignore, as JJ will still get blamed. Rightfully so in some cases. Probably most.
LOL

Hopefully his college side and knowledge helps in the draft in the later rounds especially. Instead of these injured players with "potential" or "let's take a chance on this guy" type of player.

We need to hit on some late round guys for once. Yes much of it is luck, but it can be a educated guess, and not just guess, or JWB guess. LOL.

It will take him some time to get acclimated to the kinds of players we seek. The proper fits. He's basically a non issue for this draft. Next year we will see if we notice any difference.

It can't be a bad thing to do this. Whatever we're doing isn't working. A fresh perspective couldn't hurt.

Yes next year would be more of an impact.
But don't you think he can add some input this year, on at least some opinions and views at the draft board from a different perspective.
Not that the draft board is complete, but I would think he would have some opinions, even if he won't directly affect decisions. But for bubble guys later in the draft, he might.

I suppose. Though he probably won't have a good grasp on our roster and what the needs are. We fight about BPA all the time but the truth is most times you are choosing between similarly rated players. Need has to factor in at that point.

Yeah, I can see the meetings now:

McClay: Hey Lionel, what do you think of Carson Wentz?

Vital: Well, Will, I think that he......

Johnny Walker Jones (interrupting): Hey, Vital? Didn't you play as a scab for the Commanders?

Vital: Replacement player, yes, Mr. Jones.

Johnny Walker Jones: Didn't you help beat the Cahboys on Monday Night Football?

Vital (puffing up): Yes, sir.

Johnny Walker Jones: And, they made a movie about you guys, what was it called - Little Giants?

Vital: No sir, it was called the Replacements.

Johnny Walker Jones: And who played you in that movie, Keanu Reeves?

Vital: No, sir, he was the quarterback. And he's white.

Johnny Walker Jones: Oh, so you were the guy who went to jail, right?

Vital: No, sir, that was Tony Robinson.

Johnny Walker Jones: So does that make you the twinkie guy with crap hands? You know, the guy from the 7up commercials?

Vital (shifting uncomfortably): No, sir, I......

Johnny Walker Jones (interrupting): Look, twinkie boy, I think I've been around the block a time or two. I think my opinion on Wentz is the only one that matters, OK?
