Tom Kowalski, of mLive.com, reports Detroit Lions QB Joey Harrington has told the Lions' front office and coaching staff that he does not want to play in Detroit. The Lions have been in talks with free agent QB Josh McCown (Cardinals), which could allow the team to move Harrington.

Guess Martz quarterback schools haven't gone well...

I'm not surprised. I may be the only one, but I don't think Joey is completely a lost cause. I think that has been a bad situation.

if harrington really wants out, then perhaps he should offer to pay back his pro rated signing bonus. he cannot have the cake and eat it too.

This is a Quarterback we might need to take a look at... Parcells probably could teach him something the other coaches didn't teach him...

Yikes, what a bonehead! In comes Martz, who has a proven track record turning no named quarterbacks into stars, and he wants out? Detroit has given him every opportunity and he has failed. Here is a hint, Joey, when you throw more picks than touchdowns in this league, you don't get to tell the front office where you want to go.

Harrington is luck to have a job right now. Det has gone out picked up the RB and gone out and went after the top WR's in the draft and yet Harrington still looks like s**t. Given all the hype about Harrington coming out of college you would think with the weapons he does have that he would be playing much better than what he has.

It does seem no matter who or how good they are....when the end up with the Lions they become untalented all of a sudden?

Maybe Joey is smart for wanting out. He sucks in Detroit. He will probably suck no matter where he goes, but at least he won't have to live in Detroit.

Well, thats the reason I moved from detroit in 2004 after living there for 8 years. It sucks living there, during the 8 months of winter season, unless you are fat slob and like to stick to your house and watch re-runs of old/new day time soap operas :D

What a wuss...they bring in or talk about bringing in another QB and he runs away from the competition....like that's going to make someone want to sign him.
