I say this with 100% Seriousness:

I would rather have Vinny Testaverde, Quincy Carter (wherever the hell he is right now), or the Present Troy Aikman as my Starting QB than Joey Harrington.

Yikes, what a bonehead! In comes Martz, who has a proven track record turning no named quarterbacks into stars, and he wants out? Detroit has given him every opportunity and he has failed. Here is a hint, Joey, when you throw more picks than touchdowns in this league, you don't get to tell the front office where you want to go.

That's what I was thinking- he should be drooling to have a chance in that offense.

Harrington is not bad because of Detroit.

I said it when he was about to be drafted, he is no good and way over-rated.

Harrington just is not a good QB, never was, never will be. JMO!

I would puke if he had anything to do with Dallas.

Who in Detroit hasn't been in a bad situation since Millen took over.

Well, thats the reason I moved from detroit in 2004 after living there for 8 years. It sucks living there, during the 8 months of winter season, unless you are fat slob and like to stick to your house and watch re-runs of old/new day time soap operas :D

True...In my case I moved to TX from Grand Rapids in 2003.
I didn't mind the cold,it was the Lions fans.
Dumbest fans in sports.

IMO,he has the tools, but his confidence is shot.
He is a prime candidate for a change of scenery.
Oh by the way,no receiver corp drops more passes than Detroit's.
They are near the top of the NFL on that department. It's not all on him,I've seen him play many times.

I agree. And pretty much whole Lions organization has that loser type feel. I dont think any QB will succeed there, not that Harrington is a great one. But I think he would be a decent QB, given right circumstances. But he wasn't worth the high pick he was picked at, but then I think the same about David Carr.

Exactly,that organization can't shake losing.
I also think that Harrington could develop into a serviceable QB given the right team around him,and the right coaching(Mooch,Morninhweg?...both suck).
Barry Sanders and Herman Morre are the only players who had an impact in there in recent memory.

I thought it was funny when they asked the Olineman he said "get that ***#@r out of here. I hear from Oregon fans that he is a good guy. I dunno that Autzen crowd pretty much worshipped so that is a homer opinion. Lions fans hate this kid. A friend of mine kept telling me that she knows that a lot of the players have said that they hate Joey. Also the local radio host in the SF bay area Ralph Barbearie said that Joey "was the most Cocky kid he's ever met" in an interview. Also said that he's the type of kid you want to see get hit by a car.

This dude reminds me of another Ryan Leaf type bust that the Pac 10 had for a stretch at QB.
