What happened on the fumble recovery? Was it that bad a call? I was in the car for a couple minutes at the time.

brees got hit...the ball goes bouncing around...a lion picks it up and sets sail for the endzone untouched.

they blow the whistle.

but rule it a fumble.

The Lions recovered the fumble and one of the Lions player was going to score rather easily and the refs blew the play dead. Absolutely horrible officiating.

that was horrible officiating at it's finest.

where the hell do they find these damn officials?

I have no idea where they find these guys to officiate the games, but these refs need to start getting fined for some of these calls.

If DBs could reliably catch the ball - they would be WRs. :D

Saints receivers ain't looking so hot tonite either

Watching the ease with which these teams move the ball, I'm forced to wonder how much we're overrating the Cowboys talent on offense.

I was thinking the same thing

We don't. Murray is better than any of their running backs. Austin and Dez are better than any of the recievers not named Johnson, and Witten is better than either tight end. The reason our offense has underachieved is because our line is awful period.

Thanks for the explanation, guys. :)

Have to admit that in real time (on the replay just now) it looked like a pass, but usually now the refs refrain from blowing the whistle unless they're positive. Whatta shock it went the Saints' way.

Please don't talk silly, accept the fact we stink and that's why we are home

It's called an oline.

I'm hoping that's the only difference, and that DeCastro and Grubbs or Nicks can make the difference.

I don't believe our receivers are better than theirs. Austin has had the dropsies for a couple of years now and Dez isn't exactly an accomplished route runner. Neither of which makes for receivers that a QB can really trust.

The Lions need a stop on this drive, or this game will become exponentially more difficult for them.
