You had me until this statement

If you think having Dak back for the playoffs is invaluable, you haven't watched Dak perform in the playoffs the last several years.
His performance or the teams?

If I'm the Browns I'm keeping Winston. I like him as a QB. He can be reckless but he can win games too. I see him as an ideal bridge QB.
I agree 100%.......No way I'm letting him leave. Some are saying Watson will have to compete for his starting job when he returns. They are no longer going to worry about playing him for the sake of his contract. If he can't win his starting job back.......he may be inactive for the entire year.

Forget Jameis… interception machine
He would make an excellent backup. Despite the INTs he’s had a lot of starts and has won a number of games. He’s also very productive and can throw a lot of TDs. You’re not going to find a backup QB who isn’t flawed. They’ve all had some turnover issues but Winston has more wins and been more productive than any of them.

Wonder what kind of bag Darnold and Wilson will get.
Not sure about Wilson but someone posted Darnold as earned the right to get a starting QB contract. The 2024 franchise tags for QBs are $38M.
That's probably his floor coz it's close to what it would cost the Vikes if they tagged him but remember they drafted the kid from Michigan 10th overall last season. From my understanding, he could get offers from at least 2-3 teams on the open market ( Seahawks, Giants, Jets, Raiders and Saints were mentioned as possible landing spots)

100% but the Browns would be crazy to let him walk. He's better than Watson if we are being honest.......

They probably won’t let him walk because he has been better than Watson. The only negative with Winston is the INTs.

and he knows it (LOL). He literally said a prayer at the podium after his last game where he threw one in the closing minute that could have won it.

Against Denver in a loss he had 497 yards and 4 TDs but he had 3 INTs. Against Baltimore in a win he had 3TDs and no INTs. The following week against the Chargers in a loss he had 3 INTs and no TDs. He’s very inconsistent. It can be feast or famine with him.

Back in day my favorite NBA team, the 76ers had a guard they called Microwave coz he was either hot or cold .........man, when he got hot, you couldn't him but when that spell ran dry, he couldn't hit a barn. :lmao2: I have to look up his name (lol) ...I think it was Vinny _____

Both have been questionable at times for sure.

But specific to this discussion I'm focusing on Dak as a reply to Aerolithe stating that having Dak back for the playoffs would be invaluable

Everyone sucked against GB

But some previous years against SF our defense was very solid and Dak pretty much crapped all over himself
