I assume you did a fair bit of scouting of the prospects, and ran them through a bunch of drills and interviews to draw this kind of conclusion. What kind of red flags did you notice?

Actually, no. I have a life, such as it is, thank you.

Exactly my point. You drew a lot of pretty harsh conclusions on passively watching a few videos and maybe reading a report or two, instead of giving some semblance of a benefit of the doubt to the guys who have been immersed in it all-day every-day for months. But hey, you do you.

Thanks, Dad.
First of all, sorry for having a life apart from the NFL.
But, in the future, if and when I need ANY draft intel, I will look you up. You being so studious and studied in the draft. Why, I bet you have draft spreadsheets all over the house right now. But, bloke, better tidy up before the little lady arrives home and asks you what you have been doing all day.

Yeah - I'm talking about professional scouts, not me.

I bet there are more bitter fans on this board than the ones that has called in. This is a non-story.

LOL! Showing Morris run against a terrible Cowboys d. Too funny.

What's funny is you acting like the Morris run doesn't matter because it came against the "terrible Cowboys defense", yet you defend the Cowboys for selecting Elliott instead of drafting somebody to improve their "terrible defense"...

Oh. Just another poseur.
I see. Well, but the fact that you are interested in football and the draft is plenty enough for me.

Posing as a guy who acknowledges that he should defer judgement to people who make a career out of it rather than just forcefully pushing an agenda with very little information, sure.

Yes, carry on, old fellow. Whatever flips your bowler on a nice Sunday in Coventry.

I just got back from picking y girls up at school. Listening to NFL Radio in the vehicle, a Cowboy fan called up to Jim Miller and Pat Kerwin and expressed to him his disappointment over taking Ezekiel Elliott with the #4 overall pick.

Now I don't have an issue with someone disagreeing with the pick. However, when the caller tells the folks at NFL Radio that Alfred Morris can do everything and anything Elliott can do kinda floored me.

Kerwin waved the Ezekiel flag saying that it would not surprise him that Elliott will have more catches from the running back position in the month of September than what Morris has had his entire career. Kerwin also mentioned that Dallas was 27th in the league in 3rd down conversions at 35%. He believes the addition of Elliott will bust that percentage to well over 40.

Again, I can understand folks wanting to address defense a little more than what they did. But to say that Morris is just as good as Elliott in every facet of being a running back? Really?

I heard that caller, too. When he made the "Morris can do everything that Elliott can do" statement, I immediately dismissed anything else the guy had to say. His ignorance was an embarrassment to Cowboys fans everywhere.

Elliott/Morris/McFadden would be a good backfield.

Don't sleep on Darius Jackson. He's a project, no question, but he has the tools to give both Morris and McFadden a run for their money....literally.

Sit back and think of the number of people who were upset with the Cowboys taking Martin over Manziel. Plenty of them called into sports shows as well.
