if you have the worst defense in the history of the NFL............why are you not going for it on virtually every 4th down?

I just retread clown's statement in the Bears game. He said the defense couldn't make a stop, and we got in a few third and longs and couldn't convert. And they kept coming. This guy, it seems, tried to phrase the suckage on third down in this context as some kind of unusual phenomenon and not normal behavior. I literally think they were trying to be passive and just hold onto the ball. Can you believe that this guy, in today's NFL, is playing that scared, when the Bears defense was lit up by RG3 for over forty points?

This dude was so hyped from the get go............"the next Landry"...............seeing him crash and burn in such EPIC fashion is astonishing.

Not sure what you're saying here. Where, exactly, would you like to see us on this list of 4th down attempts? For way of comparison, here are the teams in the top five: CLE, JAX, MIN, STL, WAS....not exactly sterling company.

And what are we "giving up" by not having to (or choosing to) go for in on 4th downs, exactly? How are you distinguishing between teams that are in desperation mode, for example, and efficient offenses that are able to convert on the first three downs? Or are you just looking at the gross number of attempts and drawing a conclusion because we happened to be 32nd in that particular list and you assume it means something unpleasant, somehow?

I think if Garrett had been properly groomed as a coach he could have been really great, but he and his promoters we're bringing him along as this princeton education genius coach whose destiny it was to become a head coach extremely early.

Co-Offensive coordinator for 1 year
Offensive coordinator/Assistant Head Coach for 3 years

Made no sense whatsoever...

Bill Belichick was terrible in Cleveland (first head coaching position) before going to New England... let me show you his resume.

1 year special assistant
1 year assistant special teams coach
1 year wide receiver/tight end coach
1 year assistant special teams/defensive assistant
1 year special teams coach/defensive assistant
5 years linebacker coach/special teams coach
6 years defensive coordinator

-Then struggled as a head coach for cleveland for 5 years-

So before that we're looking at 16 years of coaching football at essentially every position imaginable compared to Garrett's 6 years before becoming the head coach of the dallas cowboys... Note that Belichick was a position coach for 5 years before becoming even a defensive coordinator... Whereas Garrett was for 2 years with no prior coaching experience before that.

The decision to fast track Garrett simply made no sense. It is clear that the guy doesn't know what he is doing. And is CONSTANTLY outcoached. And who has he surrounded himself with retreads or coaches that will never become head coaches... We haven't hired a single viable coach who could become head coach here since Garrett came here. Even the hiring of Wade Phillips was evidence of the fact that Garrett was being groomed to be the head coach. He was basically the co-head coach since he got here.

Fire him and hire a legitimate coach.

A)Someone with pedigree like Parcells (preferably whose best days aren't behind them).
B) Hire a top offensive or defensive NFL coordinator
C) Hire a Top college football coach

A) Hire the guy who has never coached a team for more than 4 or 5 years
B) Hire a guy who has never had a winning playoff record
C) Hire a guy who has 2 years experience as a QB coach... (yet developed no QB)
