Over the last couple days, I just think it's been funny (but not entertaining) how much credence people give the media.
They should realize that the "scouts" that work for the media like Broaddus are scouts who have been let go from teams. I'd bet that many of them haven't even worked for NFL teams. Many of them parrot grades from other members of the media. It's what we call a media echo chamber.
The other thing is not doing due diligence on what you read in the media. Context matters a lot, and sometimes words are completely misconstrued. I would challenge people to focus a lot more on first hand sources.
The best source to get understanding on why the Cowboys did something? The Cowboys front office themselves or the coaches. If you want a proper understanding of why something was done, you should start from the source. If you want to hear analysis of that material from somewhere else, go for it, but when you don't start at the source, and you give full credence to that media outlet, who most of the time have no idea what they're talking about, you put on a display of poor critical thinking skills. You become reactionary.

In order of best source of information to worst source of information:
1. Dallas Cowboys Management and coaches
2. Dallas Cowboys Players
3. Dallas Cowboys Radio Hosts
4. Dallas Local Media
5. National Media
