All reports are that Moore has started his decline and it was noticeable for a couple of years and pronounced last year.

No thanks.

There's obviously a reason he hasn't been picked up by any team.

Moore is the kind of guy whose not going to a camp.
He'll get signed late to fill in for someone like us and play about 75% of his normal level as he holds on for a paycheck.
But he isn't a long term solution for anyone.

I would definitely agree with this assessment.

I would also say he is better than either of Dallas' guards from last year.

I can see the merit of signing him, but I can see the merit in letting things playout a little here. Keep in mind the Cowboys start camp a week before most other teams so a few days in flux is OK.

Also 2002 was a long time ago, I'd like to see a younger guy get a good shot at starting as opposed to losing snaps to an old vet.

Me..I'd like an immediate upgrade at the position. We need the stability in the OL starting right now. Waiting until later to sign a guy like him would be a big mistake. If the team waits to sign him..it's highly probable he's going to injure something in TC trying to press to get ready for the season.

Then the shuffling will really begin.

He made the Pro Bowl in 2011 and Callahan was his OL coach then. It appears that all of his decline was in 2012 with OC Tony Sparano changing the Jets from a Zone Blocking Scheme to a Man Blocking Scheme.

From what I understand, his pro bowl nod had more to do with the Larry Allen effect than it did merit.
