Loaded Defensive Roster

So they traded for Robert Quinn

Signed Kerry Hyder, Chris Covington

Drafted Trysten Hill, Joe Jackson, Jalen Jelks

Signed UDFA Daniel Wise

It looks like they upgraded!

It's so beautiful, all that DL investment. Let the children cry, this kind of offseason has needed to happen at DL for a while now.

Post draft threads and the like are a good opportunity to make mental notes of which posters are just here to stir **** up and spread their misery.

I'm so ready for Fletcher Cox to retire.

The thing I'm going to remember most about the 2010s Dallas-Philly rivalry will be that no matter what that Philly DL shows up to play. Feels like I've been watching Cox disrupt our backfield for decades.

Not completely thrilled with the Draft to be perfectly honest.

Lest we forget:

The game is won in the trenches.

This D-Line has potentially the best depth in the NFL. Quinn, Hyder, and Covington are all excellent signings. Then adding a raw pocket buster like Hill may prove to be sheer genius. Jackson and Jelks are both good players:

Put simply:

You will need to be an OUTSTANDING football player to get snaps in the DL rotation.

This is the best group of DL we've seen in years. The Front 7 in fact- is phenomenal.

You're looking at what I believe might be one star- Quality safety away from being the absolute best Defense in the NFL- bar none.
Name a Better front 7.

You put linebackers on your dline? No wonder the rams ran for 280

Philly...maybe. Their Dline is better but not their LB's obviously. Hey, like the OP said: no excuses.

I was the OP lol.

It's not a perfect D. Never said it was. But no NFL team enters the 2019 with a better Front 7.

We lack a 1 tech. Keeps us out of the phenomenal range.

Where would you waste the last couple of picks?
You already know they are pretty much wasted so where do you want to put the waste?

The Patriots started 13 guys taken on Day 3 in the Super Bowl.

They're only "wasted" picks if teams waste them on guys who can't play.

Idk how Commanders and Jags are on your list after last year.

Even if they are, that puts Dallas at 5th in the league, and theyve since upgraded the starter and/or depth at all 4 DLine spots and the "DL flex" role that Crawford plays.

Chicago is the only team with comparable LBers to what Dallas has, and with Mack and Hicks could an argument be made that they have a better Front 7.

The issue and upgrade was needed at DT. Covington and Hill fill a need, but don't move the needle much imo...I could be wrong but these guys should be rotation players not starters. Haha I wanted the the 2018 starters ( Woods/Collins) to be backups this year.

I think the front 7 is and will be good especially if RG gets back. Secondary may get better minimally by growth from X.Woods n Chido.

Can't call it right now...we'll see.
