For both Denver and Lions. I am sure plenty of fans will jump with joy. Just becareful about what you wish for. NOt that I was that happy with Garrett this year, I think his loss will be felt if he gone.

Oh, they said, they will give the news after the game. I haven't read anywhere second interview being arranged for Garrett yet though. I guess this FOX here thinks he has one? Anyone know (DFW area) ?

Reports earlier said he might be third for the Denver job but up there for Detroit's...

We'll regret it if he goes.

There is no indication from his performance last year, that his loss will be felt if he is gone.

There isn't. We were average on offense this year... We were among the worst in rushing attempts... The only time Garrett performed was when he had Sparano with him... Even then, it was already a top 5 offense. So Garrett turned a top 5 offense into a below average offense when given total control...

I think the Broncos will go McDaniel. I'll be shocked if they don't. They already asked him back for a 2nd interview. No one else has been asked that I have heard.

Ha, Ok. I am not sure why This station is saying Garrett might have decisions to make. Maybe just a teaser to make us watch the news...

if I'm Garrett, I'm rollicking in the sun, toasting pulling one over 4 franchises' eyes

I agree. Like Troy Aikman was saying, any good Coach probably wont take that job. Its a depressing City right now and will be for 3-4 years at least I think.

I left in nick of time (2004), but plenty of my friends, my sister and relatives still are there. Its not a pleasant time to live there.Pretty much a dead city.

So the coach will not only have to rebuild a sorry team, but will have to deal with depressing city. Not sure, families of coaches will like it much over there.

If I am Garrett and have confidence in my abilities, then I am begging to go to Detroit. I mean, how much worst can it get? You win 5 or 6 games next year and you can be a hero...sometimes the situation that looks the worst ends up being a great place to learn and grow. Someone else's problem can be my opportunity. I would like to see JG stay here, learn from his mistakes and grow into the future Head Coach. It took Landry quite a few years to be the great coach that he was....so give JG a chance as well.

Detroit is a ghetto. The whole city is nearly as bad as a war zone in Iraq. It is probably safer in Gaza right now. The players and the NFL need to move the Lions to LA ASAP.

I agree with Troy there.

What self-respecting coach would take that job in Detroit.

I'd really laugh if Garrett took that job, and not because I want him gone.

Excellent post.

I hope he does go. Not only for the reasons you specified but also to make me eternally jubilant.

that's what i heard too. mcdaniels came in on thurs night for his 2nd interview and no one else was asked. but there were also reports of leslie frazier or raheem morris being the 2nd guy. im guessing the broncos will make an offer to mcdaniels and if he won't accept, will look to frazier or morris as their second choice.

i wonder if garrett's continued mention of the "dolphins" while he was being asked about coaching the broncos immediately took him off bowlen's list. :laugh2:
