Detroit is a ghetto. The whole city is nearly as bad as a war zone in Iraq. It is probably safer in Gaza right now. The players and the NFL need to move the Lions to LA ASAP.

How do you know that Detroit is ghetto?

Sherman could fill in at OC.

Not sure I want Garrett gone; did anyone see the game Todd Haley called for the Cards? Garrett going somewhere and having success would be yet another sign that coaches who leave Dallas basically can't fail.

Imagine Wade in complete control of the team.

He could always live in Windsor and commute to Detroit. That's what I'd do.

We've all seen Detroit Animal Cops.

Sorry, my emoticons aren't working, so you'll just have to take my word that there was sarcasm there.

The Titans getting bounced today might have hurt Garrett's chances in Detroit. Plus, the people in Tennessee will not be calling for the head coach's head on a plater, like they did in Dallas last year with a first year head coach.

If Jason Garrett stays, I hope he doesn't have to deal with Owens. That would be a trade off that I could be happy with. Furthermore, I bet he would tell you that, too. Owens did nothing but under-mind Garrett and kick him when he was down. He led the charge. icutting Owens would send a message to the team, big time.

Next, I don't think Jason Garrett is stupid. He's was just very inexperienced at running an entire offense by himself. Tony Sparano helped him, and it really showed this year. Sparano helped Garrett see the big picture from what I have read and heard. Sparano was the offensive line/assistant head coach. Sparano could help Garrett with pass protection, game management in regards to field position, ect... After watching Garrett this year, the playoff game, last year, has Sporano's fingerprints all over it. It would have worked, but Dallas gave the game away.

I would love for Felix Jones and Marion Barber to be the heart and soul of the offense. If Jason Garrett can make that happen, I would be all in. I don't think you can do it with i81 on your team. For any T.O. supporters, I have one word for you. Justin Gage.

Felix Jones is a supreme talent. If he didn't do it, Jason Garrett needs to talk to Mike Martz and look at that film to see how Marshall Faulk was used in Martz's version of Don Coryell's offense. Felix Jones is too talented to be a "complement". # 28 is talented enough to be the heart and soul of your offense if you build it around him.

I have been critical of Jason Garrett, and I stand by it all. I just don't think it's fair to target Brian Stewart or Wade Phillips and give Jason Garrett a clean skate away when he was paid $ 3 million dollars to run the offense, and the offense was a turnover machine and sputtered in December.

Garrett made the adjustments he needed to make against the Giants, but Romo took a beating in that game. Romo can't take this punishment next year. I realize Leonard Davis had a bad game against the Ravens, but he was voted to the Pro Bowl by the coaches and players, not the fans. I realize Cory Proctor was horrible. However, you can't pin everything on the offensive line. Our line is built to run, not throw 45 passes against a blitz happy team. When you can't block the Cardinals 4 man rush, you need to play more conservative, not keep looking for the big play and calling bombs.

The offense and speical teams did in the Cowboys this year, not the defense. If you manage the game on offense better, you win at Pittsburgh. If you manage the game on offense better, at Arizona, you win. If you manage the game better against Washington, you have much better chance.

Wade Phillips delivered a playoff caliber defense. Phillips has DeMarcus Ware playing like the best player and most feared player in the NFL. He has Jay Ratliff in the Pro Bowl. He has Bradie James playing at a Pro Bowl level. After Terence Newman came back from the surgery and Phillips put him on the other team's best WR and played heavy man coverage, the defense went to another level. They gave the offense plenty of opportunites to win the Pittsburgh and Baltimore games, but the offense didn't cash them in.

A defensive coach needs his offensive coaches, including the OC, to come through for him, or he's in trouble. Phillips was hardly in a "normal" situation last season.

Everyone that wants Wade Phillips gone, just remember who is in this division. It is a defensive division, and Wade Phillips is one of the very best defensive coaches in the NFL.

Understood, I'm from Detroit and I will agree with you that the city is like a ghost town, but at some point if JG is coming to be a HC he has to take a chance and make the best of that situation. While I don't agree with a lot of things that are going on in Detroit, I believe at some point things will change. I think that the city depended to much on the auto industry and fail to pay attention to the needs of the city. City reputation has played a part of the city falling behind in the times. JMO

actually, they have interviewed troops that have served in Iraq....and more people die in Detroit than in Iraq each day, week, month, and year. And that is just Detroit....that isn't the rest of the US included.

Not to make this a political thread, but the Liberals who have bashed this war are bleeping idiots and propaganda mongers.

Now back to Detroit. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to that Hell on Earth place. I'd rather roll my Southern Pride Cracker behind down the streets of Compton, California while wearing David Duke's wardrobe...than go anywhere near Detroit.
