Local Virginia Radio Laughing At Our Choice

Some radio jock in Skins country is panning our hire? Whatta shock.

Can you imagine if we'd hired Norv? Talk about ridicule.

They have their own problems they should worry about: Few draft picks, Salary Cap problems, Bad Ownership and a Senile Coach.

I thought Jones was going in a "younger" direction, then he brings in the 60 year old Phillips. Dan Reeves is 63, was he even considered, he would have been a popular selection with credentials. Was this ever a possibility?

Phillips is a good solid Coach ..... I wanted Ron Rivera but I am not gonna complain about Wade.

Rivera would have been a fine choice--younger too. What could have been. Let's move forward & see what happens.

The sports guys here are not in awe of our pick, this stuff makes you mad to listen to. They really don't fathom the whole situation. There really weren't too many exciting hires other than college coaches available at this time. They say we should have gone with a young assistant instead of a retread. One sports guy had covered the Bills up in Buffalo & was not impressed at all. I'm going to hope for the best, but I think Jerry screwed up, thinking this team is a lot closer than it really is. Phillips seems to be for continuity's sake. Not a very "bold" hire. We'll see next year. Look like the "old Jerry" is right back in the saddle.

Who cares what some idiot in virginia thinks? People laughed at Jones when he replaced a Landry with Jimmy Johnson. Not many laughed after a while. For our fans who want to dog on Wade tough luck you can get over it.

I see it as a stale, dull choice. I think we'd have been better served luring a Bobby Petrino or Bob Stoops here and changing things up.

Oh c'mon, change for the sake of change isn't a rational choice,,,, neither is "the sexy pick". This isn't monopoly money that Jones is using and the level of talent they've got in place has a shelf life. The choices Jerry makes here are weightier than those of some chick at the horse races,,,, "Ooooh, look at that pretty one over there!" :p:

It's obvious by the reports being made that Jerry put a lot of thought into this and sought advice from professionals in the biz. This team is far too close to contention to try any silly experiments.

Time will tell, guys. I think Jerry blew it.

The Wade Phillips selection has our NFC East foes smiling like cheshire cats. JJ blew this one.

It's a local shock jock on a Commanders station. He would ridicule the Dallas HC no matter who was selected. In Atlanta, they were ridiculing the Saints for hiring Sean Payton. :lmao2:

This sports jock is not a Skins fan. He does know Phillips from his years in Buffalo, though.

The guy is still on a Skins station. In Atlanta, we have an Eagles fan that still plays a Falcons homer on the local sports station and bashes the Saints.

You also have to wonder if Mike isn't a little bitter about the two superbowl beatdowns of his Bills. :lmao2:

As if I CARE what that bunch of Skins homers think...

this stuff makes you mad to listen to.

Why?? Are you so weak-minded that you accept without question the opinions of a bunch of football dilettantes??

Or did you hear that stuff, laugh it off, then figure you can use their stupidity to continue your endless trolling in here??

I'm going to hope for the best, but I think Jerry screwed up, thinking this team is a lot closer than it really is.

Well, I would have never guessed THAT, with all the ranting you've been doing these last few days... happily for me, I'm NOT so weak-minded that I let the opinions of the likes of you disturb me too much...

Look like the "old Jerry" is right back in the saddle.

Second verse, same as the first...

I find myself wondering what it must be like to be you, to literally LIVE to see how many total strangers you can gratuitously pi$$ off with your rants??

And you care about what some radio jock in Virginia says because...

Because it gives him another excuse to try to pi$$ people off, of course...

Surely by now, you've figured out that's what he's all about...
