I wonder if we will have the biggest fanbase in the NFL in a year like 2030, when all the people around in the 60's and 70's have either passed on or are living in nursing homes and the entire new generation of fans(People born in the 90's, 2000's and 2010's) are the ones buying tickets and merchandise. I wonder if a team like the Colts or Pats will be the most popular team.

That's a very good point. Once a younger generation of fans dominates the market, the Cowboys might lose their top spot. You may well be onto something there, however, I sure hope I last longer than 2030. :D

great that he said that but laughing at someone who is doing something nice for our troops is out of line.

just my opinion, I saw the same segment that you did, and no matter how much I hate Osi he is doing something morally right and I am not gonna laugh at him for it, no matter what he says.

Sorry but this has nothing to do with the troops. This is about there being more Cowboy fans than Giants fans and Osi getting embarrassed. Nothing more...try not to take things too personal and learned to laugh a little. I'm sure the troops had a good time laughing and joking with Osi even though people are over there "dying."

I'm sorry what just happened here? No one was being laughed at personally in this thread.

He wasn't laughing at Osi, or the troops, just the really funny situation of Osi being a Giant and finding a lot more Cowboys fans over there.

There was nothing in this topic to get upset over and nothing that put down anyone.

I really don't even see what you're getting bent about at all. Are you just upset cause a topic that said anything about troops was posted? If you're that sensitive about it then I'd imagine you should probably lock yourself in a dark room and not come out until there is no need for military in the world.

Or he could move to my home country Costa Rica, only country in the world with no military. lol

I get the context, just don't agree with it being appropriate.

I watched the segment and heard what he said.

I said what I wanted, I leave it up to your interpretation as to what I meant.

I swear to God you are such a ******* sometimes. Of course what he is doing is a fine gesture. Why is wrong that someone finds it funny that the people he adresses are Cowboys fans. You are so lame.

My dad served in 'Nam too and we know how they were treated....

Hell, I served in the 1st Iraq War and we didn't get treated all that great either

But regardless prayers to all...

Watching Total Access. Osi, some Giants and Roger Goodell are overseas visiting the troops.

The host, the dreadul Fran Charles, asks Osi about the soldiers all wanting to try on his Super Bowl ring.

He says yeah there are a lot of Giants fans over there, but..

THERE ARE A LOT MORE COWBOYS FANS!!!

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

I lost 3 friends in the last year, there is no lighten up with me about this subject. I am done with this thread.

Stealth, I am sorry for your lose. I always enjoy reading your threads and don't feel any need to jump on you. But I am more sorry that this thread hit such a chord with you. I think because of your past, you have taken it way out of context and I hope you read it again the way it was meant. I don't believe it was meant to laugh at a player but rather at the situation he found himself being surrounded by Cowboy fans. It is an ammusing situation and we all think highly of Osi..

The cowboys should still have a large (or the largest) fan base in the future due to exposure.

If the young generation is brought up (raised) in a cowboy environment, following mom and dad's footsteps, our base should continue. I know my kids love the cowboys as do several other cowboy "families" I know.

I think Osi was expecting a larger giant appearance due to their bowl victory. When in reality, most cowboy fans I know are DIE HARD fans and not bandwagon jumpers.

We're there to the end, even with a 1 and 15 record, only to have:skins: that year (turkeyday I think).

I appreciate your words and know I was out of character in this thread, just got hit in the face with some very real crap I have apparently not yet dealth with. I can't stand osi, he strikes me as arrogant and when I saw him over there it struck a cord with me, I just can't poke fun at anyone who supports our troops the way he has proven he is willing.

Dude,

Anyone ever tell you that you have a striking resemblance to Patrick Crayton? Although, what is that stuff all over your mouth......

Just funnin'! Trying to add some brevity to this topic that is starting to go a bit south.

That, and there should be a few more Lombardis as well. Starting this season. :)
