Skins fans took over the stadium in AZ 2 years ago. At least 19,000 were estimated.

I didn't organize the event but I suggested the Commanders roadtrip to AZ and had the entire left endzone packed with skins....

It sounds like it might be a violation of interstate commerce laws. I'm no lawyer, but how can you legally discriminate against other U.S. citizens buying tickets?

Let me handle that, LD. I'm no lawyer either, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
Under DOT regulations governing interestate commerce there is no embargo upon those acts, regulations, laws or statutues ex por forma factum that makes this illegal. In interestate commerce there are stipulations for each route of commerce, be it fax, internet, satellite phones and cameras or electronic sales by varo epso facto ticketing. Also by such devices yet unknown in this or other universes at future times and back to the future continuums.
Therefore the policy is not only legal but is preferred by front offices that want to please playoff crazy fans.:)

It's pretty hillarious, what they are doing appears to have been triggered by what happened against Washington 2 years ago. The idiot Tampa fans at bbs.buccaneers.com had given away the password that Bucs fans could use to get a first crack at tickets before they officially went on sale @ ticketmaster.com.

Of course Washington fans, including me, ended up snatching up a good percentage of those tickets and there was a huge turnout of fans in burgundy and gold.

Great tailgating before the game, and even better celebration after it.

Attorney General Of New York got involved and threatened ticketmaster who immediately withdrew the requirements.

typical Buc Stupidity. Can't get their own people to come out 3 days before a game and have to plead for NY fans to fill the stadium. Do black out rules still apply for playoff games. That would be awesome.

Bay News 9 -- A plan to restrict ticket sales only to Florida residents for Sunday's playoff game between the Bucs' and the New York Giants came to a quick end Thursday.
New York state attorney general Andrew Cuomo said he complained to Ticketmaster, which had planned to sell tickets for Sunday's wild-card game between the Giants and Bucs only to Floridians, thus denying seats to New Yorkers.
Cuomo said he told Ticketmaster there were potential legal problems with that plan. Cuomo also said that Ticketmaster eliminated the Florida residency requirement the same day.
"It raises issues, interstate commerce issues," the attorney general said in a phone interview with the Associated Press. "There are constitutional prohibitions against states discriminating against other states' residents or impeding business by other states. There are possible discrimination issues."
Ticketmaster said the restriction on ticket sales was the Bucs' idea.
The Bucs Director of Public Relations, Jeff Kamis, said there are less than 500 tickets left for the game. He said the team will start selling tickets to those living outside Florida.
In addition, the Bucs said they have received requests from fans who live outside the state, so they are cooperating.
Sunday's game takes place at Raymond James Stadium at 1 p.m
