In Witten's defense, that motion penalty today was bull****. He was as set as anyone else ever gets. That should have never been called...but you're right, I was just saying in another thread, he needs to watch the stupid mistakes, and set an example. Wade Phillips was brought in to fix the defense. The offense was fine under Sparano, and was better when he and Garrett were sharing the responsibility.

But the offense isn't generally costing the team games. The last two weeks have been strictly on the defense. Don't tell me about injuries. Two CBs out this week should not lead to 160 rushing yards and 3 TDs for the Rams. 300 yards passing, maybe.

The team is playing without a mental edge, without passion, and without an eye for detail. Two punts bounced into the end zone, despite people being in position to down them inside the 5. Is that Palescu's fault? Absolutely not.

And the boo-boo plays are not overcome by forced fumbles, critical blocks or any other kind of positive. Bennett's false start killed a scoring drive when the game was kind of in doubt. His garbage time TD doesn't make up for it.

Changes need to be made. And if Wade won't do it, he needs to step aside.

Hmm..I remember thinking that he was hoping toward the sideline still. Maybe it's my overactive homerism talking.

I agree. I think this is harder to pinpoint then just calling for a coach's head. Whatever it is, it better be corrected fast.

I dont think so. Jerry is the one that put these gutless wonders together. A 53 man roster, god knows how many coaches and there is maybe 6 sets of testicles on this team. He should find a mirror and scream at himself, he has played his own role in this teams demise.
