Yup. They had a 3-4 page thread titled "that was an int" (referring to the reversed int in our game) that was going strong on their first page as late as Monday. ... mind you this was seperate from their 10+ page boys/eagles game thread. These guys are really wild man.

Yes, they are nuts drinking bayou water and eating nutria rat will do that to you.

Yes.

They could be up by 24 points with 5 minutes to go in the game, and they're still thinking: OK, how are we going to lose this thing?

:saints: << That's for any Aints fans that might be looking in!

YEAH!!!:saints::saints::saints::shoot2:

I know a few people like that....and I will make them as miserable as I possibly can after we win it all!!

:lombardi:+1.

I know a guy from Louisiana that is a self proclaimed Saints fan. Then whenever they are losing, and we are doing well. Guess what he breaks out? Thats right a #8 Cowboys jersey, or a fresh Demarcus Ware or Tony Romo jersey lol.

That is why they have that stupid "Who dat?" cheer. They don't recognize a fan that comes out of the woodwork for one good season and then disappears.

Some of us refrained from those local delicacies. :)

I guess that's why we evolved into COWBOY FANS!! :starspin:starspin:starspin

As long as we're on the subject of Saints fans, another thing that drives me absolutely NUTS is how they (and the local sports media) are always whining about the Saints not getting any

R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

It's not enough that ESPN and FOX practically drools over them as soon as they win two games in a row.

I'm sure Steve Dennis would ask them well what have you won to be considered winners? :laugh2:

You don't wear those coon *** dancing boots (white rubber boots) do you?

Da boys are America's Team period!!! If he thinks that there were plenty of fans in the dome back in December then wait, if the Saints and Cowboys win, when they meet in NFC title game. And if the boys go to da bowl, imagine how many will be present.

Regrettably (sp?), we were assigned to New Orleans for nearly 5 yrs from 97-01. Any yes, the true fan base is pretty freakin' small. How do I know this? Well, soon after being transferred to NO, I called in a bunch of favors and got myself and family transferred to Dallas (one of the happiest days of my life). The only problem is that my employer (govt agency) was short of funds that year, and after waiting for a year for the funding to come through, some pencil neck bean counter rescinded my transfer...aagh:banghead: ...but I digress.

During the time I thought I was going to Dallas (98) I checked on Cowboy season's tix. It was then that I learned about PSL's....I honestly thought that I was not understanding it correctly. Paying for the right to buy the tickets was unbelievable. Anyway, the next July-Aug, the Saints started running local TV spots trying to sell season's tix. Not only were there no PSL's, but you actually got a signficant discount from face value for making the committment of sitting through 8 season home games. I was truley in NFL hell.

Q: What do you call 53 people sitting around a TV watching the Cowboys play in the Super Bowl?
A: The New Orleans Saints.

After living a sinful life, the good lord banished Boudreaux to Hades. Since boudreaux lived a life in a hot weather climate what better punishment than to make Boudreaux live an eternity in frigged conditions, the devil thought. The next day, Lucifer checked on Boudreaux. He was surprised to see the cajun rolling around and playing in the snow.
"Why are you so happy? Lucifer asked.
"The Saints won the Super Bowl! The Saints won the Super Bowl!" Boudreaux yelled.
"How do you know?" Lucifer asked.
"Hell froze over! Who Dat!" Boudreaux exclaimed.

Q: Why doesn't Baton Rouge have a professional football team?
A: Because then New Orleans would want one.

Q: What do you call a New Orleans Saint with a Super Bowl ring?
A: A thief.

Saints fans are really just ex Cowboys fans in denial. Besides if you go outside of New Orleans you will find nothing but Silver and Blue love. I'm not even kidding, Louisiana is COWBOYS COUNTRY.

I live 80 miles from New Orleans, and I can tell you that isn't true. People around here scoff at me when they see me in my Cowboys gear. The week leading up to the Saints game was bad for me. People at work were decorating my office with black and gold before I arrived. The guy who built my house is a Saints season ticket holder, and he stopped by just to laugh at me. We were on a 2 game losing streak, and the Saints were a red hot 13-0.

When I drove back from Dallas, it was Sunday, and I wanted to pick up some Cowboys gear at Academy. None were open so early, so I waited until I got to Shreveport, LA (referred to as "Dallas East" by many long time locals). When I got inside, nothing but Saints gear all over the place. Not one shred of Cowboys gear, only a few hours from Dallas.

Make no mistake, Louisiana is Saints country, but many are just bandwagon fans. I recently asked a bandwagon fan co-worker to name 3 starters for the Saints, and she couldn't do it.

Yes, that's certainly true. It would be impossible to find a jersey of some other team. That wasn't always true. They sold a lot of Cowboys gear here in the 90s.

It will be that way again. Shreveport will be getting back on that bandwagon by Saturday night. :lmao:

New Orleans was crazy like I've never seen right up until the 12/19 Cowboys game. If you stood still too long, someone might have come up to you and stuck a black and gold fleur-de-lis on your back! Everything was decked out in black and gold and fleur-de-lis....even Christmas wasn't safe. You would have thought we were celebrating the birth of Breesus instead. (Another thing I hate about them!)

Things are a bit quieter now...even with the divisional playoff Saturday, they are definitely not as cocky as they were mid-December.

This is true. I went to school at LSU in the early to mid-90's, and there were people wearing Cowboys gear everywhere. I remember the Saints started 5-0 in 1993, and I witnessed a guy burning his Aikman jersey and putting on a Saints jersey. The Saints went on a losing streak that year and finished 7-9, while the Cowboys, despite starting 0-2, went on to win the Super Bowl. I bet he wanted that jersey back.

The mantra around here is that the Saints were decimated with injuries when they played Dallas. At least that is the excuse that everyone is using. Excuses are for losers. They could have fielded all of their starters on 12/19 and it wouldn't have mattered. They were not going to win the game. Funny how the injury excuse was never used when they squeaked by the Commanders and Falcons just prior to playing Dallas. It surely wasn't an excuse when they beat the Patriots with basically the same team they fielded against Dallas.

I, for one, would love nothing more than to thump them and their obnoxious fans in their own dome. I've spent most of my life here, and I still can't stand Saints fans.

I must have missed that one or didn't care, haha. That place is crazy. I tried to sign up but something about free email addys aren't welcomed unless you message that admin... not worth trying to talk common sense into the delirious.
