Lone Star College stabbing: At least 14 wounded, suspect in custody

Point taken, but i'd say stabbing 14 people is a lot of damage. A bigger knife, and all 14 might be dead...

They where real lucky on the knife he choose and how he chose to attack them with said knife.

If I was doing what you say I was, .. which side do you think my agenda is on?

That's right, .. you don't know.

So I wasn't doing anything to support any agenda.

I hate when people jump to conclusions about things they know nothing about.

If I were to bet, I would put money on you being a major supporter of the 2nd amendment.

You can't tell that from post #3 in this thread, .. which is what he was insinuating.

Whether he is or isn't, isn't anyone's business...and I think all further speculative talk about gun control needs to stop.

This thread isn't even about guns. It's about a dopey kid taking a knife and an exacto knife and slashed some kids.

True, it isn't, .. but it relates directly to the gun control discussion.

So much so that I think it is peculiar that this happened right when the gun control issue is at an all time high.

I have never heard of a mass stabbing, and it happens now ??

Both sides have a point of view and opinion on this event.

Seems odd to me for this to happen now.

Anyone else feel that way?

No, it is just you. This has nothing to do with any of that.

Well, my first thought when reading about a stabbing story isn't to somehow relate to guns.

I focus on the victims in the story.

Maybe it's just the way I think.. *shrug*

I wouldn't call him dopey. I think psychotic is a better description but that is for the psychiatrists to determine definitively.

in all fairness, if he brings it up, he is kind of making it everyone's business

I wasn't talking about you. I was just agreeing with what you're saying. I'm actually against gun control. We need to move onto the next issue, imo. I was just saying that the politicization of things like school shootings is ethically wrong. I disagree with it.

Can we please ban knives as well as guns in this country before more people die? We need MORE POLICE and LESS WEAPONS of ANY KIND.

I would highly disagree with that. We need much less police and more weapons, imo. But if you want to talk politics, we can do it at www.sayyer.com

It wasn't my first thought either.

And you aren't the only one to initially feel compassion for the victims.

But with the HUGE media push about gun control lately, and all of our fears of the next mass shooting, .. I was surprised, and caught off guard with a mass stabbing.
