I remember those guys too from the late 90's early 2000's . I wonder how many are here under different names. The only one i recognize is Brain paint. Scott David , Mr Bill , Q Card , and Dallas East were all good posters. To be Honest I just appreciate the articles that are here from the major Dallas Newspapers.

I was on there in late 01 and early 02. I know Hostile use to be on there. I was fatboy2327. I didnt post much though.

I really appreciate this forum too. I have been reading it daily (multiple times a day) for years too. I am thankful for such a quick way to get my cowboys fix

I am also a long time lurker. I generally lurk or loiter at this site and "The Ranch" over on Scout.com. You can guarantee one of the first things I do when I get to work, after reading my e-mail, is to open this site first and the other one second. I agree with a previous poster, I used to have to get the Dallas Cowboys Weekly Newsletter to get the information, now I get it up to date on this site. I love the salary cap info From AdamJT13 and all the posts of the various Newspaper beat writers. Thanks for hosting this.

BTW, Sometimes I LOL on some of the witty posts.

Living in Williamsport, Pennsylvania (the home of Little League baseball) this site has made me THE most sought after person at my workplace for up to date Cowboys info... Thanx

Hey John, I'm with you, and a great post. I "lurk" frequently on this board because I really enjoy the commentary and links, and appreciate the effort the mods and others contribute to such a great site. I too have been a fan since the early '70's when Roger and the 'Boys would come to StL and consistently whip up on Hart and the Cards. Looking forward to seeing the 'Boys and Rams play.

Side note: My son enjoys reading over my shoulder at times to find out what's going on.

Yeah, I've being in the shadows (lurking) reading since before" the move "under a different name. I think that guy, BILL Zardius, was a Philly fan with strange bond with his dog. Also saw that list of other posters from the past/previous board, add boozeman to the throwback list. Thanx for all yals work on keeping us uninformed up to date. I think our BOYS are BACK where their supposed to be. Thanx again

Yep, I'm a lurker too. I post every once in a while when I feel passionate about something. I used to be an occasional poster on the old DMN board. Some of those guys like jerry, michael grainey(?), eddie, were a hoot. I remember zardus who was a closet cowboy fan, even though he said he liked the eagles.

I like this board a bunch and is one I lurk on almost daily. Most of the posters here are pretty good. There are some I will always read and there are some that I skip over.

But overall, I just like being around other Cowboy fans who are almost as passionate as me.

Mr. Bill has an account here and I occasionally drop him a line. He says he won't ever post again. Got burned out by all the crap on the old DMN boards. Still a good guy just like he always was.

Qcard was here as Charles. He changed his username to that after Quincy was waived. He asked to be banned. No idea why he didn't just apologize for a mistake and move on.

I am going to reveal for the first time ever my belief that Leodis Brown is Scott David. If not, he's just as funny. iceberg and Scott David are still friends last I checked. Scott didn't care much for this forum from before I was even a Mod. He had a hard time being Moderated.

DallasEast is as good as he ever was.

I just wanted to take a moment to all of you. I am glad so many of you decided to post in this thread. Thanks to John Van for the idea to do this. It is nice to know that some of you appreciate the site even though we don't hear from you regularly. What can I do to make you as gabby as the rest of us?

Please post any time you feel like it. Believe it or not we appreciate all thoughts on the Cowboys, the members, and this forum.

One last update from above as I did not see it before when I was updating everyone on where those guys were.

boozeman drops by from time to time. He mainly contributes at dcc.com where I wouldn't ever be welcome, so I am not in touch with him as I once used to be. I regret that very much. The only thing that would please me more than him posting here like he used to would be for the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl this year. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and his knowledge of the game and team. That pales in comparison to my respect for him as a person. That is why I respect his silence here. I know who he is here, and I always look to see when he is online. I hope that one day the hatchet can be buried and never dug up again. I know I am not alone in hoping that, but I will not mention anyone else who feels the same as that would not be right.

I hope everyone is having a great 4th. We're gonna stop by great grandma's apartment ... she has an amazing view of the NY skyline. We'll watch the fireworks from there.
