We don't need him, but the Commanders do.

Go get him Little Boy Snyderbrenner.

Another bust from Penn State.

He is so bad. He gets 22 touches a game and is averaging like 2.2 yards per carry. Pathetic.

If he's waived he'll end up in NE.

Good. He can't pick up a blitz and he's done. He's also a low life, has been since his Penn State days.

Looks like Charles will be getting more touches now.

IMO, this is great for the Chiefs. Johnson is over. Give Charles the ball the rest of the season, then get a solid RB in the mid rounds of the draft. Also, add a quality veteran for depth via FA....perhaps a Chester Taylor or J. Norwood.

This has to be one of the most worthless over reactions by a team ever

These are grown men they aren't all going to be rolemodel worthy and most men are a little brutal with their language.

These stupid "rights" groups are getting rediculous seriously the guy says some words and suddenly it's worthy of barring, suspending, banning pick your poison depending on what article you read that's how they're describing it

Total garbage. So much for that free speech thing. Truly saddening and sickening the way people are having their careers (and lives in some cases) ruined because they said something that a huge percentage of the population uses regularly but because they're "in the public eye" they are somehow supposed to be held to a higher standard. Stupid is the easiest way to describe it.

bleh enough ranting and rambling

I honestly think that they have contemplated cutting him for a while and are using this Twitter incident as a catalyst for his exit.

Just because people have free speech doesn't mean people aren't allowed to voice their displeasure about what is said. He's making their entire organization look bad, so yeah, he should be punished.

Also, I guarantee you if a Peyton Manning or Adrian Peterson said it, they wouldn't be talking about cutting them, so it shows he's not a star player anymore. Star players get treated differently than mediocre ones.

Also I'm pretty sure this isn't the first incident he's had that has made the Chiefs organization look bad. The guy obviously has a problem with authority (remember the "grown man" comments to Dick Vermeil), and when you couple that with not being a very good player, that equals a player not worth keeping around.

My post wasn't 100% about Johnson it started that way but I got lost along the way.

I'm just tired of stupid groups running the show everywhere and in the process making anything you say, that isn't scripted by a lawyer and approved by a dozen other people, something that can cost you your job.

As a person I don't care for him at all but I do stand behind it being a stupid reason to lose your job regardless of the person. Period.

People seriously need to stand back and get over themselves and realize words have NO power until you give it to them.

I see-- Johnson is allowed to spew his homophobia, under the guise of "free speech", but others aren't allowed the same "free speech", to express their disgust at his bigotry...

Gotcha... problem is, my Dad raised me to understand that a man's actions have consequences, and if you're not willing to accept the consequences of your actions, you probably shouldn't do them...

I mean, I reckon I'm allowed to wander through the blackest sections of DC wearing a hooded white robe, spewing the N word at the top of my lungs, but I probably ought to expect to get my butt beat if I do...

OK, that's a bit more reasonable take on the subject... political correctness can be taken too far...

Not in this case, though... this is just another example of Larry Johnson being a card-carrying punk... he has a history of punk behavior... if this were his first offense, then I'd say accept his apology, and forget it, hope it was aberrant behavior... but when somebody demonstrates a pattern of antisocial behavior, you start to think that maybe he's a sociopath...

Larry Johnson seems to have a problem with gays, and with women...

Larry Johnson is in no way a bust. He was a straight beast for about 3 seasons and if I remember correctly he was a late 1st round pick, if you're grading him as a top 5 pick fine...but he wasn't cause he's stupid and lazy. And if the Chiefs knew they were getting a guy who would put up about 6,000 yards and 60 TDs, they probably would do it again if you only count production.

He is an idiot, he's always been an idiot. He's another example of poor work ethic and obnoxiousness. He easily had the talent to have 12,000 yds and 100 some TDs. And he'll end up with about half that.

He will go to NE and put up league leading numbers. That's the way it works right?

Being a PSU fan and personally knowing the Johnson family it's a little bit of a shock he has turned out this way. I cant imagine his father who is one of the most stand up guys I have ever met is very proud.

I have not seen his actual comments, but didn't he target his coach. Not many people in the world can call out their boss and expect to keep their job. There is a fine line between political correctness and just being stupid. Too many people cross that line in both directions.

Larry Johnson is not a bust, but I think teams would be somewhat disappointed with his overall value after spending a late 1st round pick to get hiim. He had 2 really great years. No doubts about that. The rest have not been that good. You could say he didn't have to do much his first two seasons because Priest Holmes was still playing well for the Chiefs; however, I remember hearing that he just wasn't ready. He didn't work hard at that time and was undependable. Seems as if he has reverted back to that form.

Source: Joe Schad on Twitter Larry Johnson-RB- Chiefs Oct. 27 - 8:46 pm et

According to the website RealGM.com, a "team source" is saying that the Chiefs will sever ties with Larry Johnson in the very near future.

Make sure to take the claim with a big grain of salt, as this website has no history of breaking news. RealGM.com claims L.J. also had to apologize for using gay slurs last season, and that Johnson will be released before the end of the week. The website may simply be reading tea leaves. Still, we wouldn't be one bit surprised if the "report" turns out to be true.
