RD, wow, I should pay you for that psychological assessment. :)

Hey, how 'bout them Cowboys!?!

If they continue to play at a high level, then you'll probably see me agreeing to some of these "crazy" postings. Heck, I'm half-way there already.

But you have to admit, when we're a 6-11 team and looking at 3-3 after 6 games, it's hard to join in on all those Super Bowl threads.

If we beat Philly, Detroit, and then shut down the Broncos ... then I will eat major crow and join the flag waving. If we can go 8-3 heading into NY, then we're ready for some serious playoff and division title talk.

But we still have alot of ground to cover ... with the Giants playing the way they're playing and Washington playing well also, it's a three dog race.

Your Welcome Eddie..I take Paypal :)

I agree completely with your criticism of the homeristic perspective my friend, I was just simply stating that overstating the opposite is essentially the same type of dishonest approach if one is claiming to be a realist.

No need to construct the SB banners yet, like you rightly indicate we have much to do to improve. I was just noticing your tendency on a lot of recent threads to overstate the negative as corrective to the homersistic overstatement of the positive. You can be critical of an unrealistic perspective without overtating your case the other way.

We are not there yet and I will take pause until we demonstrate consistancy before I start driving the SB wagon but we certainlty are
not the same team as the 6-10 squad. We have substantially upgraded
all over the squad with young talent contributing at skill positions which is real progress from where we have come from in recent days.

So please debunk the crazy posts as usual, I just request you do not go crazy posting yourself in the process!!

I know I'll be ripped on for suggesting this strategy but it here it goes

You let them run. Let them have those 3 or 4 yard runs. Denver uses the run to set up the pass. Instead, you take away their passing capabilities. And you accomplish by closing off the lanes in the flat to prevent Jake Plummer from throwing on the run on a bootleg (which is what he is most comfortable doing.) Force Plummer to throw from the pocket and make him uncomfortable. When Plummer is cold early in the game, then you focus on stopping the run and you dare Plummer to beat you with the pass. Plummer is one of those QB's who can only finish strong if he starts strong.
