In the 07 playoffs vs the Giants with NY up 21-17 with 1:50 left in the game Romo had 8 downs from the Giants 48 yard line and couldn't get it done. The game ended with Romo getting picked in the end zone. I'll give him a pass on that int because it came on a 4th down desperation throw with 16 seconds left but that drive and the game still ended with an ill-timed turnover. With the game tied 13-13 with 2:04 on the clock in the 4th quarter vs Pittsburgh in Dec of 08 Romo tossed a pick six and the Steelers won 20-13. On opening night of the 2011 season vs the Jets in a 24-24 tie with only 59 seconds left in the game Romo tossed a pick which resulted in the Jets kicking the game winning FG.

In the season finale of the 2012 season vs Washington with a playoff birth at stake and the Cowboys down 21-18 with 3:33 left in the game Romo threw a pick which led to Washington sealing the game with a TD and bouncing the Cowboys from the playoffs. Last Sunday vs Denver with the game tied 48-48 with just over 2 minutes to play Romo throws a pick which led to Denver sealing the win with a FG with no time remaining. I can Cowboys winning against Washington and Eagles but Loins and Vikings I'm not sure. The game with the Saints will probably go into overtime like the last time these two team met and I'm not worried for the last two.

Do you have an visual evidence to support that he doesn't fold during critical moments in "significant spotlighted" games? What is a "significant spotlighted games" in your opinion?

I've made it very clear in a number of posts that I'm talking about "significant spotlighted games." Do I have to repeat that in every single post to make myself clear? My definition of a "significant spotlighted game" is a either a playoff/elimination game or a game that everyone is taking particular interest in and last weeks Denver game is an example. The Broncos are undefeated and Manning is having the greatest season a QB has ever had after the first 5 games. This was a game that Romo had an opportunity to erase some demons and change some of the negative perception many have of him and he ended up reinforcing it.

I agree that Romo puts the Cowboys in a position to win and make the playoffs which is why I was in support of resigning him when many weren't but he can only get the Cowboys so far because he can't close. His 5 TD's were great but his one int couldn't be overcome because of when and where it occurred. He's the undisputed king of the ill-timed turnover. The Cowboys will only get so far with him because he consistently folds in critical situations in spotlighted/elimination games. He can't handle big game pressure he continues to make poor decisions when spotlighted games are on the line. The only way the Cowboys will get very far with him is if they can get a big lead to where he doesn't have to make a play at a critical moment in a critical game.

My point is that if my QB puts up 500 yards and 5 TDs.....................he should not be in the position that one bad throw loses me the game...............that tells me the defense that gave up a 50 spot is my problem, not my QB.

That game against the Giants in 2007 had one little detail you left out...............he threw a perfect spiral to the back corner of the end zone for a game winning TD, but Patrick Crayton (who beat his man by 5 yards off the line at the snap) just stopped running and pulled up at the 3 yard line. If he kept running he catches the game winner and Romo goes to the NFC Championship Game.

He was in a position last season in the season finale where he was able to have a poor game and still have a chance to win in the end but ended blowing it with an ill-timed pick. Is it just a coincidence that Romo routinely comes up with a bad play near the end of spotlighted games that ends up costing the Cowboys? There's no question the defense is a problem but vs KC they only gave up 17 points and the Cowboys still lost. Romo made a poor decision in that game on 3rd down changing the play at the line of scrimmage inside KC's 10 yard line and threw the ball to Williams who was surrounded by defenders. He had no chance on that play.

The Cowboys have lost plenty of low scoring games with the help of some poor decisions by Romo. Not putting it all on him but he's clearly contributed and I'm not about to give him a pass every time he screws up. This team can't afford bad decisions by their QB. The Cowboys aren't nearly good enough to overcome big mistakes.

That pass to Crayton didn't occur in the final minutes. We can only speculate the Cowboys would have won had he made the play. The fact is Romo wasn't sharp that day his numbers were down as was his passer rating that FANS seem to put so much importance in.
