Did Romo have a 4th quarter comeback vs Washington last season in the season finale? I'm talking about the final 3 minutes of spotlighted games like that.
 
The thing is our defense has a lot of young and or new pieces. It's not outrageous to think they might actually get better as the year goes along..

Generally speaking, last I read that's the only way Aaron Rodgers can win games.

I agree, it turned ridiculous the moment you hijacked the thread in post #85 with your usual schtick turning it into another bash Romo thread. From there it was "ill-timed" turnovers, "elimination" games and your newly made up "signifiact spotlighted games". This thread was started to discuss the next 7 games by the OP. You strayed so far from topic it's not even funny. Instead of discussing the subject you start off calling them a homer.... I'm sorry.... "FAN". Personally, if I had to pick, I'd rather be a "FAN" than a "DETRACTOR". Life is much happier that way. But for you, if anyone starts a positive thread here you will come to hijack it with your negative Nancy BS. It never fails. Same old crap, day in, day out. I have no issue with anyone having a negative comment, but you are a broken record. Get some new material FFS. You're not a voice of reason here no matter what you believe.

You strayed the topic. Yes I contributed. I also pointed out over the course of my posts how it started. You stated the "discussion is getting more ridiculous every minute". I explained the reason of why that happened and why it always happens. Don't like the truth I suggest you move on.

I think that if Dallas sweeps the division and beats Minn and Oakland at home, they have a very good chance at winning the division [9-7]. The road games against the North or troubling, especially against the gunslinger Cutler at Chicago. Strange things happen when Dallas plays at Detroit as well. Green Bay at home might be interesting and likely a shootout, that might tip the balance in the Cowboys favor with receiver injuries for the Packers right now. New Orleans? Wait and see. Graham was held without a catch and Brees was 50% passing against NE, an important blueprint laid down (they still scored 27 however). Graham looks to have an ankle or foot injury. Regardless, the Superdome is a tough place to play. Dallas has done it before but that does not necessarily mean that they will do it again. Ryan is looking forward to that game for sure.

In all reality, the division is now a two horse race, as Washington gave its last gasp Sunday night. Pythagorean Division projections [after week 6] as follows:

Dallas................9-7 [11-5]
Philadelphia.....8-8 [10-6]

Washington......4-12 [6-10]
New York........2-14 [4-12]

Bottom line? Dallas "could" finish as high as 11-5, but that would depend on much improved defensive play and a little luck. If Dallas "merely" takes care of business in the division they could finish 7-9 and still take it. Not the way one would wish, but winning the division is winning the division. Atrocious or not.

If the Cowboys sweep the division very little else matters.
It is virtually impossible for them to sweep the division and lose it given results of games already played.
Whether the Cowboys are 11-5 or 8-8 ... just win the division and get to the playoffs.
Seeding stuff is largely pointless as we have seen any number of low ranking seeds win the Super Bowl.
You want to get better as the season progresses, get hot in the playoffs and then take your chances.

The most realistic number right now is probably 10-6 or 9-7. Neither make us a great team but both would put us in the playoffs provided we take care of divisional business first.

This week is a huge game as we would have knocked all the divisional foes off once and opened up a 1.5 game lead minimum over everyone else.
 
If we go 5-1 in the division, that would be 2-1 for the rest of the way. That's 6 wins. Then there's 2 groups.

The first is Minn and Oakland. 2-0, 8 wins.

The second group is GB, Chicago, Detroit, and NO. I think we go 1-3 there. 9 wins.

That's 9-7. If we win one more, that's 10. Maybe Cutler will be out a while. But that's a lot of good quarterbacks on the road to go more than 2-2.
