Romo had almost 400 yards passing, had 3 TD passes, 120 QB rating, and completed 75% of his passes WITH NO TURNOVERS!!!

Its hard to put up that type of stat line in Madden.

Do you realize how bad the rest of your team is when your QB has this type of a stat line and you lose the freaking game???

Truth. We owned that first game against them too, never doubt our ability to pull defeat from the jaws of victory.

The team didn't seem mentally into it. The only players on offense that I think came to play were Romo, Witten, Roy (actually surprised me how well he played), and Austin. Crayton didn't get enough playing time that I noticed to say he played poorly either.

I really only noticed three players on defense. Ratliff, Ware, and Jenkins. They all played pretty well. Brooking and Bradie looked pretty solid to me too.

I wasn't very impressed with the rest of the team.

That is what is so disturbing, how the hell can the team not be mentally into the game???

W T F !!!!

You are playing a hated division rival on the road with a chance to end their season, they beat us on openning night and disrespected our new stadium by hanging jock straps all over the visitor's lockerroom, and Manning wrote on our wall "first win", and we are battleing for a division title here.

How the hell are the players not mentally into the game???

The Giants averaged 9.1 yards per pass play and returned a punt for a touchdown. That was the difference.

Defense and Special Teams blow.............just like I said in the op.

The only way a team loses a game when their QB puts up "Madden" numbers is if their defense and special teams are garbage.

Special Teams

For all of the love DeCamillis has gotten, how can we possibly send out players for an onside kick who don't even know the basic rules of an onside kick? Either DeCamillis didn't coach the players properly, or Sam Hurd is too stupid to be on the field.

You are 100% correct Adam.

DeCamillis has to be called out and I am doing it right now. How the hell does Hurd reach out and touch that ball? Either he doesnt know the rules and it is DeCamillis job to teach him, or he is just too dumb to know any better. If that is the case, it is the job of DeCamillis to recognize that one of his players is freaking ******** and it probably would not be a good idea to put him on the field.

That brings me to Folk. What the hell is going on here??? If the problem is McBriar holding, then why the hell has DeCamillis not demoted his arse and named a new holder??? If the problem is Folk, if he just cant kick anymore from his hip surgery, then why the hell is Buheler not kicking FGs??? Folk is 5 out of his last 10 kicks and most of them were in the 40s range.

An NFL kicker should be better than 50% from 40 something, that is just pathetic. Whatever the problem is, DeCamillis is doing jack to fix it. I still see McBriar holding and I still see Folk missing game after game after game and jack is being done to fix it.

FIRE WADE AND FIRE DeCAMILLIS!!!!!!

I would rather we had gone for it on fourth down. Folk had no chance at making that kick. Weak minded coaching.............. again.

Agreed.

We also need to adopt the "Billicheat philosophy" and just start going for it on 4th down instead of punting. Seriously, Bellicheat knows his D is crap, so giving Brady another down is actually better than punting. You do this when you know your D is garbage and cant stop anybody.

That is what we need to do, just let Romo start going for it. I have a hell of a lot more faith in Romo than this D right now.

Absolutely, but that Jacobs play should have been called back and then the #'s would not be as impressive. That play was a game changer.

Throw in a no-call PI on 3rd down when we threw to Williams and the refs joined in the fun along with the defense and special teams (just so nobody thinks I'm blaming this game all on the refs). Those were huge gaffes by the officials.

Disagree. The Giants came to win the game - we showed up to pass the ball about the lot.

70+ yards and 1 TD came in the final seconds as the giants were just keeping everything in front of them. Throwing the ball 55 times means you are going to put up big numbers, but not necessarily win the game. On the previous 49 pass attempts the offense could only generate 17 points, so clearly just slinging the ball a zillion times didn't exactly work. When you consider that the Giants have one of the NFL's worst scoring defenses, it's a bit disappointing.

The same way we lose every December.

The defense goes.

Then the running game.

Then it all falls apart.

Plus we had a nice special teams disaster that ultimately put the game out of reach.

Special teams & defense! One missed FG & one punt return = 10pt swing...that alone was enough to win the game! Add in some piss-poor tackling (by both units) and yet another terrible game by the quickly regressing Scandrick and it equals a sweep by the G-women!!

Don't forget they could not tackle one of the slowest RB in the league either. How ****ing hard is it to push a guy out of bounds?
