Can I ax use guys a question?

What was Hurd SUPPOSED to do? He is trying to run the 10 yards and the Giants Player basically runs into him charging toward the ball. Perhaps he shouldn't have tries to grab at the ball knowing that he wasn't 10 yards from the LoS, but knowing that the ball is coming right at you at the same time as the opposing player, I'm not sure any of us would react too differently.

Maybe I just need to rewatch the play ...

Romo had almost 400 yards passing, had 3 TD passes, 120 QB rating, and completed 75% of his passes WITH NO TURNOVERS!!!

Its hard to put up that type of stat line in Madden.

Do you realize how bad the rest of your team is when your QB has this type of a stat line and you lose the freaking game???

Brandon Jacobs: 1rec 74yds 1TD.

& Drive before halftime: 4 plays, 69yds, TD.

That's where Dallas lost this game...

I'm pretty sure Hurd knows the rules for an onside kick. I can't imagine that he'd have played under two (or was it three -- can't remember how long Bruce Read was here) special teams coaches and never have practiced an on-side kick. Even if he hadn't practiced it, he himself has recovered one in an actual game.

It was just a brain fart. It happens.

Having a "brain fart" over something so basic when the game is on the line is inexcusable. If he touched the ball at 8 or 9 yards, maybe you could excuse it. But the kick never even got close to going 10 yards.

And I don't remember Hurd recovering one in a game. When was that? I do remember him letting one go right through his hands last year against Washington, though.

Yeah we realise how bad the defense and special teams units have to be to lose when a QB plays that great. We saw it yesterday.

Don't forget they could not tackle one of the slowest RB in the league either. How ****ing hard is it to push a guy out of bounds?

His 40 time is 4.51. That's not slow for a RB. Especially guy his size.

4.51 is fast for any size.

I knw in his prime, before all of the injuries, he was clocking a 4..51-4.56. I'm not sure he runs that now, but he is plenty fast enough.

Very hard, at least for Sensabaugh, when you're jersey's getting the heck pulled out of it. It was still a great effort despite the hold. I still think he's a difference maker for the defense and I'm glad Dallas signed him

He was about 3 yards short of the line when he jumped and if he hadn't been pushed back he would have been 1-2 yards short of the line. That's a pretty fine distinction you're drawing there.

Regardless, it wasn't "execusable" and I wasn't claiming it was. I'm just saying it was a brainfart on his part and not due to a lack of a coaching by Joe D. If you had attended any of the team's practices, you'd know they spend an unusual amount of time practicing special teams. And given that this onside kick has a bit of "trickery" involved with the two kickers, I'd say the chances are astronimical that they practice this play.

And I don't remember Hurd recovering one in a game. When was that? I do remember him letting one go right through his hands last year against Washington, though.
He didn't recover it, but he was the one that tipped it allowing Tony Curtis to recover in the Bills game where Romo threw 5 INTs and we won in the last second.

Special Teams (Coverage Team & Kicking) and Turnovers (Fumble) is why we lost the Game.

There is no way in the world in he could run a 4.51 today. How recent is that number and where did you get it?

His combine numbers. Who knows what he can run now. All I know is he was always touted as a big guy who can run fast. So to say he is one of the slowest RB in the league is bit of a reach.

The Giants averaged 9.1 yards per pass play and returned a punt for a touchdown. That was the difference.

The median pass has to be much lower. Eli didn't have a very good game by my eyeball. That one pass had to have helped his stats. It was the one TO and the big plays that won the game.
