Looking at the big picture means just get in playoffs

No matter how it;s done whether it;s a division title or wildcard since all teams are 0-0 once the playoffs start. And we already know field advantage is overrated since three wildcard teams have won the SB since 2009

Steelers-2008
Packers-2010
Giants 2011

So the goal is to get in and play ball once it starts and not care where the game is especially since this team has not been in the playoffs in 5 years. At this point a division title would be a bonus and a wildcard should be fine with all of us based on playoff history.

Agree??

Sure. And we all know that the Cowboys play better on the road anyway, at least during the regular season..

this year you may need to win the division to get in. but i get the op's point. the first goal is just to get into the playoffs. after that the goal is simple, win the last game you play

Luckily, the team only takes it one game at a time, so they're gonna try to win them all.

The OP's point is correct in that if you get in, you can win the whole damn thing. I think that's the point he was really making.

Still... I think the team is going to try to win the division and worry about the wild card when the dust settles.

Pretty much every football team starts off with the goal of winning the division. That's how you get to the bigger prizes. Considering we're 24 hours from being back in first place, I think it's a little early to be conceding anything. When you add in the difficult stretch incoming for the Eagles, and the fact that they're going to be navigating it without their starting QB, it becomes ridiculously premature.

I guess a small part of me thinks the eagles will win tomorrow and I have become nervous because they been hearing all week how they have no shot and will lose. Cowboys have done their job by winning but can't seem to get any damm help from other teams.

What difficult stretch are you referring to?

They play the Titans, then us in a 3 week period and then

Seattle............stinks on the road

Deadskins...........do I have to say anything?

Giants.............. do I have to say anything?

We pretty much would have to run the table and end the season at 13-3 to win the division because I see atleast 4 more wins for the eagles

I noticed that too which is why I would like our chances to get to NFCC a lot better on the road

well, all bets are off late in the season where the Cowboys often stall wherever they play. but this squad may be different...

I agree with the o.p. Yes I would LOVE to win the division. But if somehow we don't then screw it as long as we're in the playoffs then I'm happy. Take care of business in January for a trip to the big dance.
