Agree 100%. As fans, we should take the same attitude as the players and just enjoy the game and not get caught up in the competitive nature of it, or lack there of.

If you're going to have a Pro Bowl game full of the best players in the league who were voted in, those players should take pride in their performances and not screw around out there. The defensive players embarrass themselves by allowing big plays in the passing and running game due to a noticeable lack of effort. The game isn't intended to provide laughs or have players clown around out there. It's the lack of effort that's killing the game off causing the league to make all kinds of changes to keep viewers tuning in. I want to see good, quality football not a damn walk-through with players just going through the motions. The way it's been going they might as well just turn it into a flag football game.

Players use to take the Pro Bowl game serious back when I first started watching football in the early 70s and well through the 80s and 90s. Players weren't making near as much money as they do today and the winners share for the winning side in the Pro Bowl added some real incentive. The winners share today is like pocket change and isn't as much as some fines that are laid down by the league. In todays NFL players have very little time after a season ends before offseason workouts begin and it's onto mini camps and OTA's. They want to get away from football as soon as the season ends to heal up bumps and bruises and enjoy their free time before it's back to preparing for the next season.

They used to take it serious when the pay day was worth their while. With the salaries today, the pay day is just weekend money.these guys aren't going to risk serious injury for peanuts.

I just commented on that, the winners share provides no incentive, it's merely pocket change with the salaries players make today.

Only reason I care is that it's our last chance to see some Cowboys players before next season. I know the game is on ESPN but what local channel?

I have not watched the pro bowl in about 5-6 years. The last one I watched was a true embarrassment. Players pretending to block, pretending to shed blocks, etc. Comparisons to wrestling are not that far off.

I understand players don't want to get injured, but if that is the case then they should just cancel the game.

I felt bad for those that paid to attend the game. I have seen co-ed flag football games that are more intense than the pro bowl.

Code Of The Warrior means they should fight with everything they have on every play, and be willing to die if necessary.

Of course the game isn't going to be as good as a regular game.

Basically, you have a week to throw together a game plan with players from across the conference. There isn't the timing and familiarity you have with the other teammates. Add to that some of the rule differences, its basically a meaningless game, and players are more worried about avoiding injury.... yeah, the product isn't as good.

Going to watch it though, because even despite that, its somewhat ok to watch.

Why are there no kickoffs and blitzing???
