Looking into the playoff Future... Eagles @ Dallas Back to Back weeks?

With Tampa's win over Green Bay, Its becoming more and more apparant that the NFC East will have at least 1 wildcard for sure.

With that said, Unless New Orleans or Minnesota has a major collapse late in the season They appear to be the #1 & #2 seeds in the NFC.

There is a distinct possibility, if not probability that Plilly will play Dallas in the 1st round of the playoffs. Ironically, they also play @ Dallas Week 17.

Just looking ahead a bit. If the Cowboys need to win that final game to win the Division title outright. Would we be at a disadvantage playing them back to back games? At least they both could be in Dallas! Just a thought

I'm shooting for a bye. We're only a game behind the Vikes.

I believe Favre will blow out by week 12, and Dallas gets a first round bye.

It's way to early to start thinking we have this division won. The Giants are struggling -- and thank gosh they are :) -- but they will be heard from again. Is there any doubting they're far from out of the race?

But, yeah, there's a possibility of Philly at Dallas back-to-back weeks. Both teams are playoff contenders to be certain. Should it play out that way, it'll be interesting to see how -- or if -- it affects what we do in Week 17 should the matchup already be set.

How boring if Philly comes to Dallas two weeks in a row, truly a dreadful stretch for both teams to endure.

They're a couple losses from basically being eliminated from the running.

A team from the NFC East will at least go 10-6 to win the division, and by some fluke string of bad luck, 9-7.

Meaning they can only lose 3 more games for the rest of the year. Their next 7 games are fairly difficult or at least division games. Them splitting is the best they can probably hope for at this point.

Not Saying that we have the Division won. Obviously I said the we might be playing week 17 for the Division Title. With that said, I don't see either team with an operatunity to rest. We will, either be playing for a Bye... homefield advantage,... or the division Title.

Also I think Minnesota has an advantage over Dallas because they have already swept the season series against their toughest Division opponent. Their schedule is signifigantly easier than Dallas' remaining Schedule. So I think the #3 seed is what is most likely for either Dallas, Philly, or NYG whom ever emerges. Dallas however is the leader in the clubhouse by winning at Philly.

Nobody is going to catch the Saints, they will have homefield.

The #2 seed is going to be either Minny or Dallas.

We might catch a break here guys, I think Minny plays their last game against the G-men who could be needing that win for a wildcard spot possibly.

Either way, I am calling the NFCCG right now.........Dallas at New Orleans.

Who knows how any of this will play out with 8 games remaining. Just 3 weeks ago people had the Giants taking the division with ease. Long ways to go before we know who will play who in post season

It could happen, but the Vikes remaining schedule looks pretty easy:

10 Nov 15 DET
11 Nov 22 SEA
12 Nov 29 CHI
13 Dec 06 @ ARI
14 Dec 13 CIN
15 Dec 20 @ CAR

Philly has 4 out of their next 5 on the road so lets hope for the worst.

If Dallas shows up focused for the next 3 weeks we may be able to really seperate ourselves if we could get to 9-2.

Even if we hope for the worst, The Haves and Have Nots are very well defined in the NFC.

Even if the Eagles lost 3 of their next 5. That still puts them at 7-6 which they would still be solidly a contender for the #6 seed.

The Problem with wishing for the demise of Philly is that the likes of San Francisco, Green Bay and Chicago have faded to the point that the top 6-7 teams are jostling for position amongst each other. NYG is the only team that is currently out of the playoff loop that I believe will still be heard from and have a say in the postseason race.

Says you. That's a lot of games left to play, anything can and will happen. I never get it when people say the schedule looks easy. Nothing is a given in the NFL anybody can beat anybody, i tell people all the time it's not highschool or even college...

That is an interesting scenario.

I could see both teams playing their backups for the entire game, and then saving the starters for the following week.

Of course, the Cowboys Eagles wildcard matchup would probably depend on the outcome of the Cowboys Eagles regular season game. It would have to be a set-in-stone wildcard matchup for both teams to rest their starters.

Playoffs, playoffs......all I see is Greenbay

Agreed..

But, in that scenario. I definately DO NOT want the Cowboys to have to plas the egals twice in two weeks.

I hope the Cowboys fortunes get better then that nightmare.

It's to early to be talking about Dallas and the playoffs. They have to wn this week and that's it. Eagles, Giants, falcons, Packers, Bears all can make runs and make the playoffs and if We slack We'll be gone. So lets just worry about the Packers game...
