Love that movie and I would hate playing the Eagles twice, probably have to down a couple of tequilas to get through it.

If we finish out 9-2 after Thanksgiving then I'll start to really look at that possibility because, at that point, it would become a very real possibility that we could play Philly back to back weeks and I'll tell you this. I won't like it. At all.

Much like the Giants game in 07 there isn't a worse match up for us, IMO, than a 3rd game against a division rival. Especially if we happen to be playing a division rival we beat twice in the regular season.

One game at a time.....we can't get to that point, unless we win the next game.

Well since none of us here are on the team, it's ok if we discuss it. We are fans, this is what we do.

I personally am pulling for whoever plays NO, Min and Phi.

I still think we can ketch up to NO or Min.

NO is tough, but so are we and we do play them. Wouldn't you like to see us tied or at worst a game behind going in to that match-up?

I too think that Fave may fade. Not counting on it. We don't have a game against them and that sucks. We'd have to go at least 12-4 to potentially ketch them and then it would probably still come down to tie-brakers. I just can't see them following up a 7-1 start with a 4-4 finish.

I hate the eagirls. Would rather have NYG and ATL take the two wildcard spots.

I think we will take our record to 9-2. From that point not much would surprise me.

I could argue for a 13-11 win finish.

On the surface it would appear that finishing 12-4 as the #3 seed behind a couple of 13 plus wins would suck.

But I'm not so sure that couldn't play out in our favor. Now I know getting the bye is always the bet outcome but....

If we take the east and the #3 seed we'd match-up against the #6 seed. Most likely ATL or NYG. It would be a good match-up to get the play-off drought out of the way.

Less pressure than hosting a division round game after a bye against what could be a hot wildcard winner.

The other benefit to taking this route is that a win would send us to the #2 seed whom I believe would be Min.
I'd love us in that spot. Farve is like 1 and god knows how many losses to us. Something about the blue star just freaks him out.

It could happen, but the Vikes remaining schedule looks pretty easy:

10 Nov 15 DET
11 Nov 22 SEA
12 Nov 29 CHI
13 Dec 06 @ ARI
14 Dec 13 CIN
15 Dec 20 @ CAR
16 Dec 28 @ CHI
17 Jan 03 NYG

There are 3 possible games for the Viks to lose they could end up at 12-4 easily.

NO remaining schedule is.

10 @STL
11 @TB
12 NE
13 @WAS
14 @ATL
15 DAL
16 TB
17 @CAR

I think it would be fair to say its possible for NE and Dal to come up with a win, and might be possible for NO to take a loss at Atlanta. So a best case scenario for us is that NO ends up at 13-3.

Dallas 14-2
New Orleans 13-3
Vikings 12-4

What do you think?

I'm shooting for a bye. We're only a game behind the Vikes.

1 1/2 games really there only loss was vs the AFC.

Id rather play the Falcons or Giants in round 1 but thats just me.

With Tampa's win over Green Bay, Its becoming more and more apparant that the NFC East will have at least 1 wildcard for sure.

With that said, Unless New Orleans or Minnesota has a major collapse late in the season They appear to be the #1 & #2 seeds in the NFC.

There is a distinct possibility, if not probability that Plilly will play Dallas in the 1st round of the playoffs. Ironically, they also play @ Dallas Week 17.

Just looking ahead a bit. If the Cowboys need to win that final game to win the Division title outright. Would we be at a disadvantage playing them back to back games? At least they both could be in Dallas! Just a thought
All I know is, nobody in their right mind predicted Dallas would be sitting alone at the top of the division 4 weeks ago. So to think you can forcast the next 6 weeks is even more of a total guess. Let's just see if they can beat GreenBay this week.

we might have a better chance of catching MN...the Saints run defense will really need to be exploited for them to come back to the back...it's possible but only NE, DAl and ATL remain as REAL challenges...the team that beats New Orleans will need to be good running the ball and potent passing the ball, along with good pressure from its defense...Dallas could be that team but i'm not sure they are there at present...but there's still over a month until the meeting/beating? in the Dome...

Look I do not want to lose to philly at all. I have a jersey bet with my boy from philly, he initiated the bet that philly would have a better record at the end of the regular season and be the division champs, I countered that we would not only be the division champs but that we would sweep the eagles this season. So with that being said I do not want to play philly a third time after we beat them.
Everyone knows how hard it is to beat a team 3 times in a season.

Interesting possibility. I could easily see eagle finishing 9-7 or 10-6. Their schedule is about to get a bit harder especially in December since they have to go to Atlanta, Dallas and New York.

Nov 15 @ San Diego
Nov 22 @ Chicago
Nov 29 Washington
Dec 6 @ Atlanta
Dec 13 @ NY Giants
Dec 20 San Francisco
Dec 27 Denver
Jan 3 @ Dallas

If giant keeps sleeping and they do not start playing football like they did the first 5 weeks, they can find themselves at 5-6 before they play Dallas on the 6th. They are at home to a dangerous Atlanta team and then travel to Denver. Their December is pretty easy though.

It's too early to tell. Looking at the Giants/Eagles schedules, either will be lucky to get to 9-7. The Falcons will take the 5th spot. The Bears just got through the soft part of their schedule and things get really tough.

Even though the Packers will probably lose this weekend, I wouldn't count them out. They still get Detroit again, the 49ers, Seahawks, Bears and Arizona.

If I had to pick the 6 playoff teams right now from the NFC, they'd be:

#1 Saints (big lead and their division is terrible)
#2 Vikings (also an easy schedule, though Favre may flame out later)
#3 Cowboys (12-4 is entirely realistic)
#4 Cardinals (by default, really)
#5 Falcons
#6 Giants

There are three good teams in the NFC and a bunch of garbage.

I don't see how anyone can say the Vikings schedule is easy. at Arizona,Cincy,Chicago,at Chicago, at Carolina, NYG is not easy. I know Chicago and Carolina have poor records but those teams are capable and how Minnesota has needed some miracles against teams similar(SF and Balt.) to Chicago and Carolina this season they can lose 2-3 of those games. I am still not completely sold on Minnesota. Those two wins against Green Bay were emotion driven IMO. They haven't looked that good in those 2 games all season and I don't think they will reach that level of play again all season. They don't have Green Bay on their schedule anymore.

How can you put NYG ahead of Philly. Philly has already beaten the Giants 40-17 and they have a better record right now. I think Philly will be the #6 seed. I wish Dallas would play Philly in the early game week 17 not knowing the outcome of Minny's game. This way we would play the came balling out our minds like crazed dogs hoping to finnish 13-3 and to Get the Tiebreaker from minny. If Minny plays early and they have already clinched a bye before our game starts. We will just rest starters for the Philly game. NYG will be mad because they would probably need help from us to beat philly so that NYG can get the #6 spot. I know...I have a vivid imagine
