Looks like I was wrong about Fasano...

he was on jacked up last year...but thats the only time i can remember

Fasano has been a nice addition. I think by the end of the season it'll look like we have two Jason Witten's running around out there....

I have to say i had the same thought that Fasano seems to run better after the catch than Witten.

I'm not trying to slight Witten - I think he is an outstanding TE and I doubt Fasano will ever reach the same level. Nevertheless, Witten's yards after the catch seem to be more momentum than anything because his legs stop pumping after the initial hit - although he will start pumping again if he doesn't go down - whereas Fasano seemed to keep the legs pumping all the way through.

I personally think that Fasano is a better run blocker than Witten is.

On this forum I doubted Fasano would have much of an impact this year, and would probably average 1 completion per game. It looks like I'm going to end up being wrong about that. Thank goodness.

While I'm coming clean, I might as well mention that I confidently stated that Matt Jones would probably never be a starting caliber WR in the NFL. Being from Arkansas and even talking with Matt a couple of times in social settings, I didn't think he had it in him. Well, I'm happy to say that it looks like I was wrong about that. He looks pretty solid right now.

Bottom line: Its a good thing I don't gamble, or I'd be a poor man!

Fasano is the quintessential tight end and by the end of the season I predict he will be one of Bledsoe's primary targets in the passing game....mark it down people, this kid is a player and this pick offsets the horrible decision to take carpenter in the 1st.

I don't know - I did read Fasano was having some trouble with blocking assignments in training camp. Nevertheless, Witten isn't really known as a strong run blocker anyway. Anytime you hear discussion about Witten as a blocker about the strongest endorsement you hear is that he has the size to be a a factor, not that he IS a factor.
