He didn't start out as a Clydesdale.....but he wasn't Secretariat either. He was a great Cowboy and extended the career of a certain Cowboy QB. God bless Jason Witten.

With all due respect, he's about as reliable as they come and has been for what seems forever. He always amazes me how he manages to get open in such a routine manner. He seems to have instincts that tell him exactly what to expect from an opponent, no matter who it is. Granted, he's not as nimble as he once was but obviously, it makes no difference.

Thats exactly what l was trying to say.

I thought you did quite well. Hell, any QB in the league would be crazy not to take full advantage of Jason . . . want a first down? Witten's your guy!! I could go on about him all day but we all know what he can do! He's just an "Automatic Mover of the Chains" personified . . . :flagwave:

I agree with all you said. I just feel he has more speed then most give him credit for

There are definitely times when he can surprise with his speed, once he gets rolling. It usually happens when he's had a chance to rest and is fresh enough to expend a considerable amount of energy. As much action as he sees in games where he plays every play, it's a wonder he's able to run at all, much less to so with anything resembling adequate speed.

I saw that camp clip of Byron Jones with his arms wrapped around #82's waist line like a belt just to keep him from pulling away,,, Witten looked explosively fast TO ME!
