Let start by saying that Looney was no Freddy BUT he did play very well, better than I thought he would. He was far better than some teams have playing center. If a team makes an offer and the price is right (I would not take less than a high 3rd) would you want the FO to pull the trigger? What would be your asking price?

I wouldn’t let him go but for the sake of discussion, nothing less than a second round pick or a high first..

How many center/guards are better than Looney in this draft? 2-5? And that’s assuming they don’t turn out to be busts, Looney is a proven player...

no way no how do I trade Looney. He is a very nice insurance policy to have and he plays at a high level,is durable and versatile. Dumbest thing we could do is trade him and count on Fred beard.
You don’t trade looney
If anything you extend him
He’s not Fred but he a very capable center who can play guard too

looney has almost no trade value. Would be lucky to get a late round pick for him.

What you would get in a trade. Is not worth the value he brings to the team as a quality backup interior OL
I’m not so sure his trade value is really that low. He’s not gonna get you a first rnd pick but overall he’s better than some teams have. He’s probably worth a 4th to someone, maybe even a 3rd. He’s cheap, solid player and he’s 28
