It doesn’t take creativity for the QB to throw the ball properly. There is no play that calls for the QB to throw behind the receiver.
Part of Lance's development is seeing the field and processing defenses. This vanilla game plan doesn't help with any of that. Plus receivers aren't getting any separation because the play calling is so predictable forcing Lance to hold on to the ball longer or force throws. That also doesn't help him develop in any way.
