what is more amazing to me is that at one point, they were four behind my Giants, and that was like in late May I believe. Now they are about 17 ahead. That is an amazing turnaround.

I think what is also amazing is that while during the Dodgers' streak, every team in the division basically struggled. In the past, it would be another team that would battle with them for the NL West and go on a streak of their own. It seems like I won't be able to see the Dodgers play in Atl unless they play for the NLCS.

It is about pitching folks, particularly in the post season. Name a better starting three than Kershaw, Greinke and Rhyu. Plus Jenzen closing. Also this team has the "we expect to win" aura right now.

Dodgers 12.5 games ahead of arizona. I have no doubt this team will be in the WS. Theyve continued this winning streak even with injuries to Kemp, Ramirez and Puig, Ethier seems to be the one thats igniting this team. Now they acquire Michael Young, ouch. This is the deepest team in baseball, posistion players and pitching.

I don't see them beating the Braves. Braves have beaten them 5 of the 7 matchups this season.

I could. The three games they played @ Turner Field was all on the bullpen. The Dodgers' starters held the Braves in check until late in the game. At that time, the Dodgers were struggling with holding leads and didn't have Puig. Braves showed that they are an average team @ best on the road against winning teams.

Short series baseball is insanely unpredictable. The big advantage that the Dodgers have is Kershaw and Greinke. But what it really comes down to is which team is hot at the right time. The last three world series champions were not the best team in the league any of those years. They got hot at the right time and rolled it through the playoffs.

If the Braves have a lead through 7 innings, its basically game over. And the Braves have handled business, they have the best record in MLB, best record at home, and will be very difficult to beat, now that BJ Upton and company are finally coming around.

Playing Atlanta is the NLCS is probably going to be the outcome, not saying that I'm counting out St. Louis, Pittsburgh, or hell even the Reds. This is a different team then what Atlanta played against, so that match up will be a great battle if it happens. Granted, I think my squad's going to the WS. :D

Feel bad that Mattingly missed the Yankee run of 4 out 5 World Series in the 1996-2000 domination of mlb.

I really hope he gets it!!
